1) my house is not 100% child proof. please watch your kiddos! however, most things within a toddlers reach are fine to be touched/played with..if something looks enticing, and you don't want your child to play with it..simply move it higher. no need to ask me or tell me, i'll find it if it's in the same general area.
2) my downstairs bathroom has a potty seat for PT'ing toddlers. if that bathroom is full, go upstairs. you won't miss the bathroom (well, unless someone is in it). again, no need to ask, just go.
3) if you break something, well damn. that was my fault for leaving it out. don't feel bad, but this one, please let me know
4) chinese customs means no shoes in the house! this includes kids. non mobile babies are exempt. please plan your outfit accordingly!
5) bring a non-psycho friend and/or baby-daddy if you like. (if you're bringing a male, please let me know..my husband wants to know if he "has to" stay, lol).
6) if you have the sniffles, don't you dare come within 50ft of my house. my kids are finally not sick, and if they catch something from you, don't think i will not cut you. hard.
7) oh! i'll have purell by the front door..please use it. just in case
8) what do you plan on bringing? do you need something from me? (outlet for a crock pot? stove to heat up?) i will be making a chinese soup (still deciding on what kind), providing cups for soup, spoons, napkins, plates....i'm short on cups for drinks, though, if somebody can bring those, that'd be fantastic.
9) i have a dog, and my parents have a cat that stays here when they are OOT (not currently). if you have allergies, please take note.
10) speaking of allergies, please take note of your soup ingredients. known allergies on this board are nuts, milk, soy, seafood, egg (my pedi wants me to avoid egg now), so if you have any of these in your ingredients, please let me know, i have fluorescent paper we can use to label!
12) if you drop food, don't worry, i have a dog. he'll pick it up before you do. if you spill something, i will put towels somewhere obvious....maybe near the soup? again, this is a "don't feel bad" thing...spills happens.
13) if you need my address, please let me know, i will PM, text, FB, email you. whatever you prefer.
14) dress your babies in something ridiculously cute.
oh oh! and just in case, in MSPI mommas (i think that's just me currently...so FOR ME!), soy oil and soy lecithin are safe..even though ingredients will say "CONTAIN SOY", those are safe for the babes.
Um. I will have to let you know Sunday morning. ;-;
We woke up and Thor had yellow runny nose, which usually means yet another cold is coming usually. We had 3 blissful days of no runny noses. I'm hoping it was a fluke.
Today we're all healthy! Hopefully it stays that way all the way until Sunday. So for now, consider this an RSVP for me and G. I'm thinking of bringing gumbo and will probably also bring a crock pot to keep it hot, so will need an outlet.
If we're lucky, I'll be bringing @legalbritt with me. I'm also trying to convince a friend from the April 2012 board who just moved to Seattle 2 weeks ago to come too.
I will be there with just the baby. We are both healthy today and no signs of a cold in the horizon. My H is REALLY looking forward to having the house to himself for a few hours. I'm going to bring ham and potato soup, which does have butter and milk. I'll bring it in a pot, so will need the stove to keep it warm.
I'll be there. I'm going to assume my level of crazy has been deemed acceptable notify me if it has not. Tortilla soup but I will check the enchilada sauce/broth for soy. I'll put it in a crock pot so an outlet would be fabulous.
So, I was thinking E wasn't sick b/c I guess this is better than normal, but he is congested and has a little bit of a runny nose. Let me know what you think.
I think since e is small, he is fine to come as he isn't running around with snot in his hands touching other kids. But since Thor is running around, he is more likely to spread his love around (sorry spunbutterfly). What do the other moms think?
Sad. Oh well. I'm pretty sure he's just teething, but I cannot prove that to any of you so. XD
If you're confident it's a teething fluke then by all means come...but if he's coughing sneezing runny nose, etc, then it's best to not share the love!
Baby stretch and I aren't able to make it today :-( He's still sick, and that translates to super congested, cranky, poopy boy. We're going to sit this one out. We'll have to plan another one when cold/flu season is over! I was looking forward to meeting all of you!
