Ugh. I've had some minor aching in my hip adductor/groin area but have beet training with no issues. Last night at masters we were doing 200 IMs and during breaststroke, I pulled it. It hurt too much to run more than 15 minutes this morning and I'm kind of freaking out.
I don't need to be doing breaststroke right now! I'm so irritated with myself!!
You are right - sub in dolphin kick on breaststroke sets if you need to, no shame! It is not worth it. It probably is just a strain and will be fine in a few days, but it hurts like (devil) when you do it. Hang in there.
Hoping it's minor and you'll be back at it soon! Let us know what the Dr says.
I'm in bed sick, so my weekend is probably a bust too - I imagine there are other imtxers that are having their injury and sick weeks right along with us!
