I need to run 8 today. I just attempted to start them outside, but our sidewalks/streets are a sheet of ice. I do have a treadmill, but the thought of 8 on the treadmill all at once makes me want to vomit (I tried 7 last week and only got to 5.) Does it count if I do 4 on the treadmill (I can watch 40-ish minutes of my guilty pleasure t.v. show to get through it) and then 4 this afternoon (either on the treadmill or outside since it is supposed to reach 50 later) or is it better to run the full 8 at once?
ETA: I am trying to get my run(s) in during naptime, so I don't miss family time with DD and DH.

I have to do 9 miles on a treadmill today because of lovely snow and ice that has graced MN so I'm feeling your pain. I'm definitely not an expert but I would say having to split it up like that every now and then isn't the end of the world. I do think the overall point is to know that you can do all 8 miles continuously, but once or twice isn't going to set you back. It's better than not doing any at all :-)
