Thanks for any words of wisdom on what I should do for a plan over the spring/summer: Background: I've been back to running regularly since last fall. Currently at about 15 miles/week,running 3 days, strength/cross training 3 days. Longest run to date = 8.5 miles. Right now focusing on building a base and staying injury free, and for now my goal for any race is to finish in one piece.
Thinking of signing up for Wineglass Half on 10/5, and novice plan has me start training in July. I'm training now for a 15K on 3/29, so what would I do after that until July half training?
I do have other races in mind (5/10ks) over spring summer, so should I just keep doing what I'm doing until Half Training starts in July? Build up my weekly mileage further?

You should be fine if you just do what you've been doing to maintain up until July when you start your training plan. An FYI about the Wineglass, it tends to fill up quickly. The regristration prices are about to jump (March 1 I think) and both races are at 50% already. I'm local to the race, it's a great one, so I say jump on it

Thanks for the heads up on the race- I'll get on that re. registration. Nothing like signing up for a race to motivate!

I do so much better with motivation if I've signed up for something, I totally hear you on that. If you need recs on places to stay or stuff in the area, I'm happy to help!
