I found a 2013 Specialized Dolce Elite Compact. I ended up paying $923 for it (he adjusted the price to make it $1000 including tax). I am so stinking excited! I tried a 2013 Lexa, and the 2014 Dolce Elite Compact (out of my price range, but wanted to try the 44cm size). That Specialized dealer didn't have any of the lower end bikes in 44cm, so I went to one last store, an older Specialized store that has been here for a while. This bike was my "I'll never find it" bike lol. Well, I found it! I hadn't planned on buying today, but DH said ok, so it's mine.
After I bought it and went home to eat, I rode it around the parking lot several times at the lake, and then I got brave and rode on the bike path! All without killing myself or anyone else!
ETA: I also bought a helmet.... lol. But it was in the car when DH took this pic in our apt complex parking lot.
I need a name for her. I thought about Luna for Luna Lovegood from HP. I've tried to make her nonchalant attitude about being weird my own this year. But I'm not sure that Luna is the right name. Any ideas?

My road bike is Cindy for Cindy the Cycle. My track bike is Tricia the Trackie. I haven't named my new one yet. It's not weird to name them
Oh, I didn't mean that it's weird to name them. Everything I have is named, from my car to my drumset to my spinning spindles. I meant that Luna is weird, and embraces it rather than trying to change. She also doesn't care what people think of her. As a weird, introverted overthinker, it would help me a lot to adopt Luna's attitude.
