No issues or vents today. I'm going off the plan at this point, other than long runs. It is too hard trying to get it to fit with our schedule.
Highlights: My knee is much better. No idea why it was bugging me or why it stopped, but hope the pain stays away.
B&A half It's going to be a step back week for me. I hit 47 miles last week which is the farthest in a long time. Plus my back is achy which means I need to step up my core and hip strength. No real plan for me. I'm finding that a schedule is near impossible with our schedule and this winter! I will say it was a gorgeous weekend and running in shorts was awesome. However they Are calling for snow tonight

What are you training for? Date? Run the Bluegrass 1/2 on 3/29 What is your training plan for the week? 3mi + strength, 5 mi, 3mi, 10 mi Any issues or vents? The peroneal tendinitis in my foot reared its ugly head after my long run on Sunday. It hasn't been this bad in a long time, and I'm not quite sure how I got it to act up - maybe from running around potholes and leftover slush piles? My IT band started to tighten up towards the end, too. Highlights from the last week? For the first time in a few weeks I was able to get all of my workouts in.

Highlights was Saturday's 11.25 mi run. I had two weeks of VERY bad runs and Saturday's was the run to beat. Feeling good, lots of energy, great pace, PR distance. All around good.
Training for Bayou City Classic 10k on 3/8 and Austin 1020 on 4/13. I finally registered for both last week.
Training plan: pretty much the same as it has been and I don't feel like typing it. ~30 miles with a 13-15 mile long run, a couple strength sessions (I've been incorporating some PT into those), some core work.
Vents: It's only February and it's already starting to get warm. A couple of my runs have been at almost 80* and sunny. I'm not ready for that!

Schedule: Still pretty sick, so I took yesterday and today off. I will play it by ear the rest of the week. I have a 4hr ride +30min run brick scheduled for Sunday. Hoping to swim 2x, run 2x, and bike 2x as well. Will wait until I'm better, tho.

What are you training for? Date? 5k late March, 10k early April, quarter marathon early May.
What is your training plan for the week? 2 miles tonight, 1 Thursday, 2.5 Saturday, and some DVDs in between.
Any issues or vents? Not really right now. My motivation has been super low from January on, I think a combo of getting sick, finishing my goal race on the 1st, it's been SO COLD, and my running group was on hiatus.
Highlights from the last week? I feel like my motivation is coming back, and I had a beautiful run in 60 degree weather last Thursday and a nice 2 miles on Saturday that I ran almost all of despite having been slacking for the last month+ which felt really good.

What is your training plan for the week?
week 4 of HH 1/2 Intermediate plan (highlights are 35 min tempo run and 8 miles long)
Any issues or vents?
I've injured my back somehow It's low back pain. Responds to heat. I can still run, but breathing normally is a bit of a challenge. I've had some low back issues off and on since I had the kids but usually it's sciatic. I am hoping it's just a flare up and will go away with time like it usually does. Oh and I'm sick. Sore throat, coughing, etc. Wah.
Highlights from the last week?
I stepped out of my comfort zone and ran with a work running group. I had started my run and one of the girls caught up to me and asked if I wanted to join. I said sure without asking what they were doing...it was a hill workout! I was not the slowest but definitely not the fastest. It was good for me, so I think I will join them again in a few weeks when my work schedule allows.
Oh and I set a new PDR on the treadmill. I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. I am glad I was able to mentally do it because the physical part is easy. I will probably break my record again this weekend as the high for Saturday is -1. I c
[What are you training for? Date? Urban Environmental 10k on 4/13
What is your training plan for the week? Sunday - 4m run Monday - PT for my ankle Tuesday - easy 3m run Wednesday - Pilates and PT Thursday - 4m speedwork Friday - strength Saturday - yoga class
Any issues or vents? I have really tight calves and very short Achilles and that's what's been causing all my ankle problems (peroneal tendinitis). I've been in PT for a month and while I've made a ton of progress, my muscles just don't seem to want to stretch out.
Highlights from the last week? I got to run outside on Sunday for the first time since early January! The first path I went to was covered in ice (I saw 3 bikers wipe out in the .25 mile I attempted) but I just went into the park and it was pretty clear. It was so nice being outside!

What are you training for? Date? Labor and Delivery? July 1stish.
What is your training plan for the week? It's been humiliating trying to pick back up into running after a month off, so I told myself this week, no running at all. AT ALL, not even trying. Instead, walking 3 miles 3 times this week and on the trainer twice for 45 minutes to an hour
Any issues or vents? My support belt is helping my belly but not my lower back. Grr. Highlights from the last week? Still being able to push the girls in the stroller for 3 miles without totally toasting out.
What are you training for? Date? ~Chattahoochie Challenge HIM. 4/26
What is your training plan for the week? MFS - Run Tue/Sun - Ride Thurs- Swim Wed - Yoga
Any issues or vents? ~My schedule is a disaster. I can't get in to a consistent training groove because meetings keep popping up. I suck at running. I am seriously doubting my ability to even be able to do the run portion of the race.
RnR Nashville, Ragnar Chicago 6/6&7. Hey @vtcupcake do I really have to buy that training app?
What is your training plan for the week?
Yay for step back weeks! S: strength M: 5 miles T: 4 miles W: strength Th: rest F: 4 miles S: 5 miles
Any issues or vents?
I felt a little some stiffness in my IT band last week after my long run. I postponed my 5 mile run until Monday so I could stretch and foam roll, and I'm feeling much better.
Highlights from the last week? Not really last week, but rather over the last 3 weekends. I ran double digit long runs 3 weeks in a row, and I think that's the first time I've ever done that.
