Hi guys I figured I would come join over here. I am 7 weeks and just had my first early ultrasound yesterday and we had a heartbeat!! I have an almost 3 yr old DS and had 2 losses prior to this pregnancy so I have been extremely anxious. I almost couldn't believe it yesterday, I cried and hugged my doctor. I have one more US in 3 weeks before being released to an OB so I have to do some searching since we are new to the area.
On another note I started having pretty severe nausea yesterday afternoon to the point where I was up most of the night waiting to throw up. Today I feel like I was hit by a bus. I get hungry but the thought of eating makes me sick. It's almost like I feel like I have a stomach virus but I'm not going to the bathroom or vomiting (yet). Anyone else go through it?
Congratulations!!! Welcome! I lucked out with a very easy first tri and was just nauseous occasionally but exhausted constantly. I hope you have a better night tonight.
Congrats! Try forcing down something small and bland, even a handful of crackers or pretzels. I find my nausea is a million times worse if my stomach is empty.

This. I have to force myself to eat something. I always feel better when I have something in my stomach. But for weeks 5-8, I could barely stand the thought of eating. I feel for you.

Welcome and congrats! And yes on the nausea. I have had it all day every day since around 6 weeks and (knock on wood) I have not thrown up yet. I have a prescription that takes the edge off but it is still always there. Hopefully it's passing thing for you
Congrats and welcome! I hope the crappiness of the first tri passes quickly. Bland table water crackers were a lifesaver for me. Forcing those down helped keep the nausea at bay. I hope you find something that works.

Congrats! I started battling with nausea at the six week mark so it's only been a few days for me. But it's no fun! Eating crackers and toast seems to help.
I was very fortunate to have virtually no m/s but I hear the 6w mark is pretty common for it to start. PP's have given you good advice on how to deal with it. Hope you feel better soon!

Congrats!!
Yeah, I've been having the nausea off and on for about 2 weeks now (I'm about 7 wks). Today is the worst it's been - it's OK while I'm eating but as soon as I stop it's back...

Welcome and congrats! I survived on smoothies the first couple of weeks, not because of nausea, but because nothing else seemed appealing. I hope you find something that works for you!
Congratulations! Pretty much nothing helped me with the nausea, although I found fruit to be the least repulsive, and as pps said, it was worse on an empty stomach. I was throwing up multiple times a day from about 6 weeks until 11 weeks, and even now I'm still dry heaving sometimes in the morning. Good luck!
Congrats and welcome. And yes to the nausea. I said to my husband this weekend that if I did not know that I was pregnant I would think that I was dying. But eating and staying hydrated does help. You just need to find your thing that helps. For me I find cold grapes help. And weirdly enough, tomato cocktail at the moment, but I am so nervous drinking it because that will suck big time to throw up.
Congrats!! Miscarriages run in my family and my mom has had several. I'm pregnant with my first but I haven't really gotten excited until now. I'm 14w6d. I know the feeling. My doctor said feeling any symptoms was a good sign so I tried to feel happy about the nausea and vomiting.
Congratulations! I had two losses prior to this pregnancy as well, so I totally understand the anxiety and the relief at hearing the heartbeat.
I second this. I'm on my first and lost the first two. I saw the heart beat yesterday and that fear is starting to dissolve. I'm stillin awe over it! Im midway through my 6th week and the nausea started this past weekend. Like everyone said always eating helps a ton!
Congratulations!!! I'm 11 weeks & I was super sick today. Just felt sick all day. Actually woke up at 1245am sick & it's continued all freakin day. Some days are worse than others.
Congratulations! I'm also in the two losses before this baby club. Hearing the heart beat for the first time is the absolute best. I was nauseous from week 7-9 and just ate whatever I could tolerate, which was pretty much cheese and carbs. Luckily, things have greatly improved since then.
