I feel like I'm hungry all the time. I'm trying to drink more water, but I just always want to eat. I know I need to work on wanting to eat, and being hungry. I feel like I'm not quite sure how much food should actually satisfy my hunger. Can you look below and give me feeback/suggestions? If I could find something that worked for breakfast, lunch, snack, I don't mind eating the same thing day after day. I know I should eat more protein, but I don't feel satisfied without some carbs. And I swear, if I eat a bagel in the morning, it keeps me full until lunchtime. Is there a way to wean myself off? Just go cold-turkey?
Today I had-
1 serving of almonds on my way into work Half of a PB sandwich on 100% whole wheat bread Apple 3 hard-boiled egg whites 1 serving of some crackers Salad with a little bit of chicken 2 chocolate chip cookies
I eat protein for breakfast - usually two scrambled eggs. I actually eat them when I get to work and make them in the microwave in a magical egg pot. This keeps me full until lunch.
Again, I eat protein for lunch. I'm usually eating leftovers, so today was pot roast, kale salad, and a greek yogurt with fresh blackberries. This will hold me until dinner, after the gym.
Eating a lot of little things just doesn't work for me - I just eat decent-sized meals and don't snack. And I avoid sweets during the day to avoid that mid-afternoon crash.

One of my favorite things to eat for breakfast is greek yogurt mixed with fruit preserves (I use sugar free) and topped with granola. I will usually eat a couple hard boiled eggs whites as well. I also like to make egg muffins on Sunday and eat them through the week. I will usually use egg whites, some form of protein and I'll switch up which veggies I use. Oh, and I throw in a little shredded cheese as well.
For lunch, I tend to make a big batch of soup over the weekend and eat that throughout the week. Skinnytaste has some good ones and the healthy section of Pinch of Yum has some tasty options as well. Another favorite is this salad:
For snacks, I do almonds, fruit, raw veggies and greek yogurt ranch dip. I also love to buy the single servings of edamame in the freezer section and eat those for snacks.
I used to eat greek yogurt with fruit everyday for breakfast and thought it was a nice healthy choice. But my trainer told me to move it to the afternoon to avoid a spike in my blood sugar first thing in the morning. I don't know it is a real reason, but I feel much better having eggs for breakfast.
I find that when I eat a predominantly protein and fat breakfast, I am less hungry throughout the day. Most of the time, I eat eggs or seasoned ground meat with veggies cooked in some sort of fat (olive oil or grassfed butter) for breakfast.
Yeah, a bagel for breakfast is usually more than enough to stay full for a few hours. Too bad isn't diet friendly
You'll get used to not having that yeah-full-o-carbs feeling vs. not being hungry feeling. Add some fluids to fill you up. Some people prefer cold or hot. I prefer hot in the am and like to sip one caffeine beverage and then switch to some herbal stuff. Makes a huge difference. Also, if I'm "hungry" I often sip hot broth -filling and healthy.
I eat oatmeal with sliced almonds and raisins at 8 am with hot tea. I almost ALWAYS add a 10:30/11 AM snack of hummus and carrots to get me to lunch at noon. It doesn't take much, but it makes me feel not hungry.

I eat 4 scrambled egg whites on a whole wheat english muffin every morning. It's pretty filling. You could add cheese if you wanted as well. Whenever I eat a bagel or just carbs for breakfast, I'm starving a short time later.
Why just the egg whites? I have 2 hardboiled eggs and a "shake" of Kefir, protein powder and flaxseeds for breakfast and it keeps me full. If I skipped the yolk I don't think it would have the same effect.
I think eating the yolks with the eggs would help. There's some awesome stuff in egg yolks and the fat will help your hunger all day. The best time to eat fat is at breakfast.
