Almost every night I wake up hungry. Sometimes (like tonight) I get up to eat something; other nights I just lay there and hope to go back to sleep.
*Do you wake up hungry? *Do you usually eat something? *Have you found anything that's easy to keep on your nightstand and just grab while you're still in bed?
I went through a phase in early second tri where I woke up hungry. I would read restaurant menus on my phone and then go back to sleep. I was too lazy to actually get up and eat something!
I did all the time before pregnancy. I think I'm a bit hypoglycemic. I'd wake up starving at 12 or 1 a.m. and have a bowl of cereal and go back to bed. Strangely, I've hardly done this since becoming pregnant.
I kept a baggie of dry cereal on my nightstand during the first tri so that if I woke up for more than a few minutes, I wouldn't feel nauseous. Otherwise, not really.
in first tri i kept something by my bed so i could eat before I got sick. Then just this last week I have started to feel super hungry in the middle of the night. I have resisted the urge so far (mainly bc i dont want to get out of bed).
Occassionally I will. I have Belvita breakfast biscuits (think it might be a British thing?) and a glass of milk. I can't get enough dairy at the moment.

I did during first and early second tri and occasionally in the last few weeks. Many nights its because I feel asleep and skipped dinner so I'd wake up hungry and go eat watermelon, soup or whatever I could find in the kitchen. Once it was a pan of cornbread, this morning it was a pear.
I did a lot in my first and second trimesters. I would sometimes get up and have a bowl of cereal. I started keeping a pack of poptarts next to my bed. They are easy to eat and not too messy. If I woke up hungry, I couldn't get back to sleep until I ate.

I feel like I 'like' your posts and quote you all the time but I did this, too! Lol
I would do this when H and I were reading in bed at night. It had the upside of sometimes making him hungry enough to go downstairs and bring something back up for both of us.
I drink a glass of milk when I get up in the night to pee. It keeps away the hunger and helps regulate my blood sugar so it's not super low when I wake up. Of course, it has the disadvantage of making me pee more...

That's hilarious! Mr. Smock would sometimes wake up and go "are you reading menus again?" and just laugh.

I kept a granola bar by my bed all through first tri to help with nausea. I still keep them just in case. When I sleep in on the weekends I usually need to eat it because I get too hungry otherwise.
No, never. It is one of my cardinal rules. I suffer from acid reflux even when I am not pregnant, so eating and then lying down just after is a terrible combination for me.
