I just got home from work and noticed that my ankles and feet are swollen. one is more swollen than the other but there's no pain or redness which makes me feel somewhat better.
Of course, I googled (when will I learn?) and am now concerned about pre-e and blood clots. I do have 2 blood clotting disorders and have been doing daily lovenox injections and baby aspirin. My blood pressure has always been great and on the low side. I do have a desk job and am sitting most of the day but I drink lots of water.
I've left a message with my ob's nurse line and am waiting a call back.
Update - just now leaving the er, ugh! Blood work looked fantastic and no evidence of pre-e. Vein u/s came back fine and we got a quick u/s of the baby, who was kicking the crap out me all night. the doc is chalking it up to general pg swelling.
Thanks for all the good thoughts - it meant so much. waiting was absolutely nerve wracking and gave me a serious appreciation for pp's who have been in similar situations with er trips.
I think it's a good thing you called, although hopefully its nothing. The only thing that would make me worry is that one is more swollen than the other. Did you have one leg crossed over the other most of the day or one foot up resting on something? Let us know what the update is when you hear back. Glad it doesn't hurt and isn't red, etc.
Oh man, this sounds familiar. Definitely glad you called - anything happening while you're on blood thinners is extremely unlikely, but better safe than sorry. Prop your feet up on some pillows (above heart) if you can.

I hope everything is okay! I'm 33w so I may be more prone to this at this stage but I had to put my feet up for a good hour last night for my swelling to go down!

How does your chest feel?
ETA: Good thoughts headed your way.
I know, I thought of you. :/
Chest feels fine - no shortness of breath or anything. Hopefully just normal swelling. Did they do an u/s on you to check the baby?

Good luck - mine just started swelling this past weekend (22weeks) but I don't have your history. Lots of water, elevating, and walking every hour or so has helped me.
Great update! Did they give you some compression socks to wear? Those are super cute, let me tell you.
No, no sexy compression socks. Lol
I did see a woman there with a friend (woman was not in er to be seen, just accompanying someone else) who had no socks on. Or shoes. She was strolling around barefoot. In the er waiting room. I wanted to track her down a pair of socks but she seemed totally unconcerned.
Glad it was nothing! Ditto compression socks. Any time you sit it can happen because the weight of your torso on your thighs doesn't allow fluid to flow back up as well, so getting up and standing every hour or so will help. GL!
