Why, WHY? My husband decided that, while I was 7 months pregnant and peeing every 30 seconds, he would finally finish renovating our ONLY BATHROOM. We were without a toilet for 24 hours. Yaaaay.
Oh, and this is a good reason to switch to the Diva Cup. For realz.

They just don't understand..
I used the diva cup for awhile, and then one day it overflowed while I was at work. That was the end of that. lol
LOL! Well, sometimes you have to empty it mid-day if you have a really heavy flow. Your tampons are leaking anyway! DOOO EEET!

Diva cup use: Put it in.
To empty: Take it out, dump into toilet. If you're at home, wash it out and re-insert. If you're in a pubic toilet, wipe it out with TP, and reinsert it.
99% of the time, I only have to empty it 2x/day- when I wake up and when I go to bed. SOMEtimes I have a really heavy flow right away in the morning, like, nothing happened much at night so it makes up for it in the first few hours of the day. And I get a "full" sensation (or maybe it's just me being mental...) when that happens, so I empty it then.
I swear, people, it's not messy if you're doing it right. There's a learning curve, but after that, it's sooo easy. And you have to wash your hands afterwards anyway, right? LOL!
The scariest part of this post is that you have your period already. My boys are a few days younger than your baby, and the thought of having my period to deal with on top of infant twins makes me want to cry.
Do you just stick it in as far as it goes? Is there a wrong way to put it in? I'm not trying to be a smartass- I'm genuinely curious.
It is meant to sit low-ish in the vagina, but mine rides up a bit- it sits differently in everyone for the most part. If you can feel it, it's not in right.
To put it in, you fold it up, insert it, and then it "pops" open. It can take a while to get it right at first, but it's recommended to practice in the shower before you have your period so you can get a feel for it.

Well, I have been exclusively FF since she was 6 weeks, so I guess it is time. I'm kind of glad it is back, but I hope it's not this heavy every time. I was always able to get through the night on one super tampon before. I went through 3 last night.
Snicker - the Diva Cup comes with instructions. It's really not that hard to use once you get the hang of it, although I could never empty it w/o getting blood all over my hand.
ACK! Nope, that's never happened to me LOL! No bloody hands here!
