I've made the 37 week mark! Although, they say he's measuring on the small side so we're aiming for another 2 weeks at least. I've been having a bunch of uncomfortable contractions, backache, etc. I've been checked a few times but there's not been much change to my cervix so we're just trying to control the contractions with supplements and I'm resting as much as I can. I'm excited to meet Caleb but I'm also a little emotional that my one on one time with Kennedy is coming to an end. But at the same time I feel like even with a newborn it'll be easier to crawl around with her, etc. than it is now.
Kennedy is doing great! She's started climbing up the stairs - ugh. I can't find a gate to fit our stairs so I can't leave her anywhere unattended and I'm constantly chAsing after her. I think I'm going to have to call in a company to custom make one. She is just so much fun these days and full of giggles and laughs. I really love this age and how interactive she is, despite the fact that she doesn't actually talk much. I'm really excited to see her with her brother.
Omg I didn't know Janelle had her baby??? How is she?
Baby Selah is in the NICU and Janelle went home a few days after she was born. Selah's tiny, but Janelle and her husband have been able to hold her, and she's starting to gaining weight. I believe I read on FB that she's up to 2lbs 12oz as of today.
Aww! Sucks that she can't come home yet, but with all the advanced we've made baby Selah will be just fine! I hope she comes back and keeps us updated, I'm not a Facebook friend:(
We are doing great! Had our 6 month check up. Length 26.5 (71st percent). Weight 15.75 (41st percent). Dr said her growth will slow down until 9 months and then pick back up again. That is also when generics start taking effect. Interesting. I love her Dr.

Thanks for the update, I was wondering about this. Hope all will go as smoothly as possible for them all! How is Selah's name pronounced?
Had our 1 year check up recently: Amelia is 30.5 Inches (tall girl!) and 18 lbs, Abigail is 29" and 17 lbs. They are low weight for 1 year, but are gaining weight and growing proportionately.
They had shots which was miserable for them and me. I fucking hate shots, but I am too afraid to not do them.
They were in drop-in care at Kindercare for 3 whole days and now our whole house has Daycare Plague. I have had laryngitis for at least 5 days. They've been sleeping later in the AM, on Sunday we all woke up at 10 AM and this AM Luis said they woke up at 8:30A. I'm wondering if it is the cold or if they are hitting a growth spurt.
They are getting picky with food, but I keep trying! They laugh a lot and fight a lot with each other, but are being sweet otherwise. Tata (Luis' mom) has taught thema few songs, and it's adorable. I'll have to get a video of it one day.
They clap (and especially when you say "YAY!"). And baby signing works! They tell me "Byebye" and "all done."
We finally finished Madeline's nursery last night by adding the final touches. A family friend is giving us their closet doors from one of their bedrooms (they are gutting their house due to renovations), so those will go in this weekend making everything complete. I finally packed my hospital bag (well, sort of... just kind of hit or miss clothes and such) and got Madeline's video monitor. It wasn't the one I was originally going to buy, but it was on clearance at Target and couldn't pass it up. I'm just getting so ready and now that I know we have a definite deliver date, I am feeling much better about everything. I have just wished this summer to fly by so we could meet our new little girl that I haven't really enjoyed my summer yet! Looking forward to being able to do that soon!
MacKenzie is definitely enjoying mommy being home! We go swimming almost everyday and she loves to sit and play with me. Plus she has been taking regular naps which makes our day much more enjoyable. We try and go to Tiny Tots swimming at Highland Rec Center every week (they do it every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) to get out of the house, but with all the tunderstorms, we obviously did not get out there today. She loves to swim and is becoming quite the little fish. We have always used swim vests in our pools and we found these really cool ones that allow MacKenzie to actually kick and "swim" safely. They are www.target.com/p/puddle-jumper-deluxe-red/-/A-13271889 but I know walmart has a version too. Definitely recommend for those who are between the real swimming phase, but still want them to be a little more independent.

I'm scared to say this (I'm knocking on wood) but things are going great here! D is such a good baby, we are on a decent schedule and he only gets up around 1and 5 or 6 to eat at night. Dh is so great with him too. I'm a lucky mama and so happy with my little family. ;D
I haven't been active on this new board, but was a little active on The Nest. I am having a boy and am due 9/18. I'm ready for it to be here. We have almost everything we need already and it seems to be taking forever for September to come. We are so anxious to have our little one. I hope these last 2 months fly by.
My job is ending at the end of July, so I will have about 6 weeks before baby gets here. I'm actually looking forward to the break before we have our first baby!
I am in the midst of our first night with the baby sleeping unswaddled. This morning I woke up to the sound of her fussing (her crib is in our room) and looked over and saw she had flipped herself over onto her belly while swaddled. She has good neck strength so she was lifting her head up but I freaked and jumped up to rescue her. She hasn't rolled over in regular life yet, but now that she did it swaddled, I'm all paranoid that she's just going to end up in a face plant she can't get out of.
I was nervous about getting her to sleep unswaddled tonight because usually I nurse her to sleep and then when she's all passed out I move her to her crib and she STTN. Moving her without the swaddled was tougher and she woke up when I put her in her crib, but I let her just lay there and wiggle for a bit and in about 15 min she fell asleep on her own! I so hope that sticks and is her new thing. We'll see how the rest of the night goes...hopefully she isn't up a million times.

Can you add me, please? Stephanie due 10/27. Oh and it's a girl!
Everything is going great for the most part. I'm 24 weeks preggo and my belly is kind of huge. So huge that I get all kinds of rude comments from strangers asking if I'm having twins or triplets, saying my baby is going to be big, can't believe I have til October, etc. ugh, I was talking to a coworker about the person who asked if I was having triplets and her reply? "no, you look like you are having just one baby, but you look like you are enjoying yourself". Ayfkm?! I wanted to punch her in the face.
See, what I don't understand why, especially other mothers (even more especially mothers of 1+ kids) say shit like that. We all carry differently, and differently each pregnancy.
No one asked me once if I was carrying twins. Why? Probably Abigail sat in my back the whole time and hiccuped, while Amelia was doing the disco duck up front. Plus, I have a tilted ute.

People should just not talk at all sometimes.
Yeah, people just don't get it when it comes to pregnancy. I am getting opposite comments because I carry small, but I was bothered by the fact that I had someone refer to my daughter as "shrimpy" (she's measuring at 5lbs 12 oz now, bigger than MacKenzie was estimated and was actually). I'm sorry that my baby is small, I have done everything I possibly can to grow her bigger. Since I was on a restrictive diet and bedrest, I definitely had a chip on my shoulder about that one! People need to just congratulate you and move on.
