This may be flammable but I think Camille is a bit of a snatch. It's like she went to Italy and now she's above a him. He's not worldly enough. But he treats her like gold and they have all their kids and grandkids and have been together so long. She needs to get over herself.

I'm no Zeek apologist, but I agree with this.
The feeling I got from Joel's apartment is that he went all-out with anything he thought would won the kids over. Except an extra bedroom, wtf? Was that to show he didn't have a ton of money? Maybe he should have forgive the bog TV, Xbox. Or complex with a pool.

I thought that was weird about the apartment too. It looked big and had a long hallway but the kids needed to share a room and have bunk beds? I'm not surprised he is falling into the whole "Disney Dad" trap with the kids.
I still wonder if he is/was having an affair or something. His leave seems like an over the top reaction to what happened.

It does. This is where this show would benefit from having flashbacks because maybe there's something in Joel's past that is a part of the current crazy that could be worked into the plot. Plus, have we even ever met Joel's parents?

A flashback would be perfect. There should be some reason. That mom put the moves on him and Julia said it was fine to keep inviting her over while she was at work!
We have never met his parents but in one episode they mention that his mom is dead. Maybe his dad is too?

I still think Joel is having an affair or wants to sleep with Pete.
Parenthood posted on Facebook this week that Haddie will be returning! I'm hoping she's not coming back because Christina has cancer. I actually like them revisiting the story line, because check up scans and all that are a part of the real process.
I read somewhere that Julia and Christina open the school and Julia falls for the headmaster or something. So it seems the Joel and Julie thing will last a while at least.
I LOVED the scene with all the siblings together. THAT is what I've been missing from this show in this season (and even some of last season).
With all my snow days last month, I started re-watching the whole series from season 1. What I miss from the first couple seasons is all the interaction between the siblings. It was funny and touching and it really carried the show. I feel like now they all have completely separate story lines that never cross over, and they hardly ever talk to each other (except Crosby and Adam because they work together). I want to see more of the siblings coming together and talking about stuff. I will admit that in the episode earlier this season when Julia went to Sarah for advice on her marriage, I had a couple seconds where I went, "Why is she talking to Sarah? How does she know her?" I FORGOT THEY WERE SISTERS because we never see them talk ever anymore.
Anyway, Joel's apartment is unrealistic, but I think most of their living situations are unrealistic in that city with the jobs they supposedly have, except for maybe Sarah and her small apartment.
I think having a check-up for Kristina is logical and realistic but I hope they don't have her have cancer again.
I thought he was good looking, but I didn't think he was pretty. He almost looked girly in some of the shots.
He's always looked like that to me. He's so soft, and gentle, lol. He's an interesting character to me, because I wonder how much of him is written and how much of that his the natural affects of the actor himself.
That's a good question. I don't think I've ever seen him do an interview. And yes he is soft and gentle, especially compared to his sister in the beginning and how tough his mom tries to come across.
