Brooks is brilliant, but I have to take little breaks now and then because it's so goddamn depressing. Of course it is. I heard the ending sucks so I'm bracing myself for it.

Next on my list is Sharp Objects.
I just read this and I found it hard to get through as well.
I'm reading American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld. It is a fictionalized version of Laura Bush's life and it is interesting, but there are kind of a lot of sex scenes and I don't like to think about Laura and W getting it on.

I just finished Under the Dome by Stephen King. (shame) it was a long, easy read, and it made me reminiscent of summers I spent hours reading Koontz and King.
I'm reading Catch Me by Lisa Gardner. She's a great author and if you love Suspenseful crime novels, you'll love her books. I'm only just beginning it but I like it a lot so far.
I just finished a mediocre chick lit book: These Girls. I never read chick lit, but this got a decent review from EW. meh.
Now I'm simultaneously reading The Submission by Amy Waldman
[/b] and Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson.[/quote]
Just finished The Submission. It was fantastic!
Today I start Saving CeeCee Honeycutt by Beth Hoffman for Book club and Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys (NO, this is NOTHING like 50 Shades of Grey!) lol.
