Sorry, between our awful weekend (remember Rock?) and all that's been going on, I've been trying to think of something. He said something really sweet the other day, I just can't remember what it was. And he put a lot of work into cleaning out our basement. I continue to be proud of the fact that he's lost about 50-60 lb in the last year, so that's the big standout.

Aww, that's sweet, Rock. Sounds like he's taking good care of you.
When my brother had his thumb surgery a couple of weeks ago, my husband texted him for his address, because he was going to send him a one-handed PS3 controller to help pass the time. I love that he cares about my brother (and the rest of my family) as much as I do.
He sounds great Rock. I can't believe he got you a skirt that's adorable!! My H is pretty awesome too. He makes my coffee and lunch every day, and he takes such good care of my doggie and loves her (it's mutual between them but wasn't always. She is a chihuahua - not the manliest of dogs - and was mine before he and I met). He also works so hard on house projects and renovations and is just an all around awesome thoughtful guy <3.

Rock, He sounds great. Having his support must make the surgery recovery much easier.
SO is awesome to me. He is very quite, but always listening and very thoughtful. He was incredibly supportive of me getting through BU, and just does sweet little things all the time that don't seem like a big deal, but really are. (Simple things like putting out candles in the garden when we are having dinner, or picking up a bottle of our favorite wine with out me saying anything.) He also doesn't get frustrated with my scattered, ADD personality, which also makes him a saint. : )
He remembered today was our anniversary and I was like, "oh yeah!"
So he bested me there. We aren't celebrating until next weekend, though. So I didn't blow it too badly
Your husband is awesome, Rock!
Thanks . And happy anniversary! What are you guys doing to celebrate?
Fancy restaurant. Everyone seemed to vote for No9 so I was leaning towards that. But we were just talking about how we haven't eaten in the North End in forever. Any recommendations there?

Oh right, I remember about No. 9 now. I still vote for that (remember: prune-stuffed gnocchi). I don't really know places in the North End unfortunately. There's a bunch of expensive Italian in Waltham so I'm way too lazy to schlep out there for it
Hee! I wish we had some in Somerville. We're, also, contemplating not going out and getting some steaks from Savenors and making a nice meal at home. I can't decide if I want to bother to dress up or not.

My DH is amazing. He's been my rock over the past few weeks as my dad's health quickly deteriorated. He held my hand through all the updates. When we got the call that I should come home to VA asap he had a flight for me and my sister booked within 20 minutes and drove me straight to the airport. He drove the whole way down with Lil a few days later and has just been amazing helping me and the family with everything as we prepared for the funeral and help mom get the finances and house ready for life on her own.
