Finished my first marathon. Like clseale said, the course was long. My garmin had me running 26.42 miles. 8:37 pace according to my garmin, but 8:41 for the race. I was hoping for under 3:45 but happy with what I did.

Congrats on an awesome first marathon! The course was just weird. The entire race I was about 1/10 of a mile ahead (which I totally expect for a half), but then all of a sudden in the last mile or so, I picked up another 1/10. My pace per mile was 9 sec faster than Savannah, yet I only got about a 40 sec PR. Lol Oh well.
It was a beautiful day, and very well run. That's really a great time. I hope you had fun!

Ok, I finally have something H&F related to add.
February was the suck for running, but in the past 2 days I've run 15 miles. That's already about half of my total mileage for all of last month. Bring it March.

Oh and thanks for the suggestion about the bike at your last full I told DH to bring his bike and not only did it give him something to do during the race, he was able to watch me several times throughout the race. Great motivation for me. He also got tons of pictures! Great way to capture my first marathon!

Ran a 4-mile race today, 2nd out of a 3 part series with melmel48. There was a huge hill but we made it thru and finished the race! Next week is a 5-mile race.
Ok sadlebred and chw57 - looks like shitty rides were spanning the country this weekend. Wind, rain, and overall so brutal for me. It hurt, and the group I was riding with was faster than me so I had to seriously put it down to hang with them.
Also, a nail penetrated my tire (made with freaking KEVLAR, + liner, + slimed tube). It happened in the 2nd hour, and I put a new tube in but it slowly leaked and I rode the last heaven knows how long with another flat. I thought I was just tired
DD might have been in the bed from 5-8, but hey, we slept. It was awesome.
Jealous!
Mine is from during the week. my 2x 500yd set in the pool on Thursday was at 8:15 and 8:25. For a 1500m swim, that converts to under 30 minutes easily. This was just my third week back in the pool, so I feel pretty good about the swim portion of the triathlon. I just have no clue at all how I will do on the bike!

Oh no, that's miserable. Well, next weekend has to be better, right?!

You win the ickiest ride of the weekend! Ugh...I hate flats. I hate 2 flats in one ride even more!!! Here's to better rides next weekends!
