Mine: I had my first feel good, zone out run in months tonight. I can't remember the last time I felt good enough to zone out and just listen to my music and feel good about running. It is those kind of runs that make me love to get out there. It was with Bob, super humid, and pretty slow, but it was still an omgamazingiloverunning run.
Mine: all of my long runs this training cycle have been at a faster pace than my half PR, even today's very hilly, rainy 12 miler. I should have a nice PR in 2 weeks.
I'll put mine here. I barely PRd my half this morning, but a PR is a PR. My only gripe is that the course was long! Way longer than a half should be. My Garmin said 13.31. My friend who ran the full, ran as far over as we did in Chicago! That's crazy for a course that is no more than 10 ft wide. Anyway, 1:42:03. 2nd in age group. I wanted 1:41 & should have solidly had it. 7:40 pace on Garmin, 7:47 pace on race time. Whatever.
The best part was when I paced my friend in. It was so fun being out there & encouraging her. She crushed 4:00 even with the extra distance w/a 3:57:51. So proud of her!! Fun day!!
ETA: Oh, and this race was good for me, because I realized how burnt out I am. From mile 1-8, I didn't want to be there, then I sucked it up & had neg splits. Made me realize that I definitely don't want to do a spring full, and would rather work on speed work between now & Boston. I'd like to break 1:40 in the fall, and then start training for Bean Town.
CallingAllAngels - that has got to be a huge confidence booster!!
Way to go @cseale! That's an amazing time.
I survived 16 miles this morning! I got outside & was so frozen the first few minutes I nearly turned around. (I had piles of layers & knew I'd sweat too much if I put on any more.) Then I thought about 2 1/2 hours on the treadmill & kept going. I did eventually warm up, but the wind was vicious. I managed 7.5 outside & then 8.5 inside.
Even with the wind & cold, I averaged about 9:25 pace outside & 9:45 inside. Strange how the treadmill feels so much harder...

Yay!!! Great job! I have no desire to do a spring full cause you train in the cold and then it is (can be) hot on race day. I guess my exception would be Boston, if I were to ever BQ:P
I had a great first 10K at the Best Damn Race today! Crushed my "A" goal of 1:12 with a time of 1:09:11 and generally enjoyed a beautiful morning and all the post-race festivities (i.e., free beer) with my much faster and very patient BFF/cheerleader/personal photog.

I set a date for my final dissertation defense! I defend on April 14th. To make this somewhat H&F related, it means I should be able to fit in a half marathon with my mom at the end of April. She wanted to break 1:50 so I'm going to pace her.

A sorta funny one is hubs chip time for today's 10K was exactly 40:00. So close, yet so far away. My AW is was it was the rodeo run here and I successfully kept the kids from getting trampled by any horses without having the stroller with us.
I pounded out two awesome runs on vacation in Florida 5 miles yesterday and 13 miles this morning despite being hungover for both of them. I finished my 5-mile run in 41:46 which felt pretty kick-ass.
Chugged along with DH for the first 4 of our 6 miler today and then did the last 2 right around my goal 10k pace for next week and felt great. Oh and it was 80*, sunny, and humid.
I got asked to be a pacer for spring half marathon training! It's a new to me group, and starts next week. I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited. I think this is just what I need to get out of my running funk.

I did 14.1 this morning (30 double unders, 15 55lb ground-to-overhead lifts, repeat as many times as you can in 10 min). I set 100 reps as my goal, so two full rounds plus 10 reps, and I got 126! Considering that unlike joenali I cannot do 25 DUs in a row, I'm pretty happy with how I just hung in there, did my best, and beat my goal

I've designated this summer as "the summer of speed". I want to focus on getting faster too

I also did not do whatever workout you are talking about, I just did a HIIT workout on the dreadmill and decided I wanted to jump rope! I felt like a kid!!

I need to do this too. I just feel kind of lost without a big goal race - like, I don't really have a specific pace to aim for.
My AW, while not as impressive as some, was that I actually did the entire P90X yoga DVD today. Not all at once (this son of mine WONT NAP) but given that and my mood today it was an accomplishment
My AW is that I actually got my ass up and out for my Saturday AM run with my friend M and her doggy. And that I got cottage cheese with my veggie burger instead of fries (well, and the fact that I got the veggie burger period).
Oh! I almost forgot. I got one dip of cherry cordial frozen yogurt at UDF instead of my usual three. Baby steps.

1. That video is HARD. I've never done more than half of it. 2. Why don't babies/toddlers understands that naps are awesome?!
