We're redoing our laundry/mudroom next month and we're debating the color scheme.
If this were your room, what color floor and walls would you do? [edit: personal pics later removed]
This room is the main entrance for visitors, so we want it to be functional AND beautiful.
Definites:
silver-blue washer & dryer
Wall of white enclosed cabinetry (in place of open coatrack and bench - will take up that entire wall from the light switch to the corner, but only as deep as the current coatrack).
Utility tub w/ white cabinet base instead of current utility tub
The room gets a decent amount of light, so we're not afraid of going dark with the floor/walls. We've been leaning toward a slate tile floor (in grays/blues, no browns) and some shade of gray walls, but are open to suggestions.
I would not do gray on the walls because that would be A LOT of gray. Instead, I'd stick with white, cream, or a light yellow. Something like SW Crisp Linen would look nice. Here are two pictures two give you an idea: 1) off-white/cream color with slate floors, and 2) a good yellow (sorry no slate floors in this).

I really like that lighter silvery color you have up on swatches! But I'm not sure about slate flooring. Isn't it difficult to clean? I'd want something I could wipe down on a regular basis.

Good call on slate flooring - I do think it's hard to clean, like you said. We'd actually be doing porcelain tile with a slate "look." Just various shades of grays/blues, really.

Hadn't though of it being too much gray - that's a great point! I can't stand the shade we have in there now (not sure what it is - was painted that way when we moved in), but a nice crisp yellow might be nice.
It would depend on the floor color, but if the floor wasn't gray, or was at least something with more contrast to the walls, I would be all over a gray/blue gray for the walls, so that the washer and dryer would blend in a bit.
I think with any other color the washer and dryer will really stand out, and since it is a main entrance, I would want to minimize it. Not hide it or anything, just not have it be the focal point of the room.
We just painted our basement laundry room both gray-blue (on the concrete walls) and yellow (on the drywall interior walls). The floor is vinyl, not slate, but it's slate-ish.

I tried to work backwards to see if you've posted what type of flooring that is but I'm on the app and it's not working.... would you mind sharing info on that flooring? I LOVE it, it's beautiful!
