There's a half I want to do April 6. The problem? I have been super lazy and not actually training at all. Between being sick, lack of motivation, being sick again, and the horrid weather... it just hasn't been happening for me lately. My longest runs have been 7 miles, and mostly just easy maintenance miles a few days a week. If I get my ass in gear in March, would it be crazy to go for it? There are a few others in May that I want to do, but the weather is usually not as nice as April. I don't have any serious time goals (other than not sucking too bad).
Sure! Why not? Lol I tend to be really laid back about these things, so perhaps I'm not the best person to give advice. I think you'll be fine, especially with your goal. It's not like you're new to distance. I'd start bumping up those long runs ASAP, and then get in a longer mid-week run as well. I also might throw some strides in at the end of shorter runs, and maybe some runs with a few tempo miles here & there.
I love that I can count on you ladies to be enablers I've got until Wednesday before the price increases, but I think I'm going to go for it. I just hope I don't get disappointed if I don't do so hot.
do it! I haven't been training - just maintenance miles since my marathon and ran 12 this past weekend with a friend. My legs were tired, but I survived and could've ran a half - so do it!
