It finally happened to me this weekend...An old lady stopped me out on my run to tell me I was crazy! I live way out in the mountains and run on the flattest country road I can find every Sunday for my long run. We all wave at each other out here (took me a while to get used to that!) and I often wave at cars going out and then coming back an hour+ later. I've often theorized that people leave for church, attend service and then return all while I'm still out there (it is the Bible belt, afterall)...an older lady pulled over as I was about 2 miles from out from the car on my way back and asked if I'd been running since she left for church...Yup!
Friday: Judged 14.1 three times. Lots of kneeling on the ground staring at people's feet, trying not to lose count. Saturday: 14.1 the boob recovery version - PCs instead of snatches. Loved it! Sunday: Calves are toast from 14.1 - rest.
Friday: 4 miles Saturday: 9 miles. It should have been 5, but it was so nice out that I just kept going. Only time will tell if that was a bad idea or not. Sunday: 3 miles
You guys, I had 2 AMAZING runs this weekend. I only ran twice in two weeks due to a hectic work travel schedule and was itching to get out an run when I got home from my trip to Alabama.
On Friday I did a virtual 5K in 27:35. I was really proud of this time because it was windy, and as mentioned above, I hadn't run a lot lately.
Then on Saturday I had a 9-mile run schedule and did it in 89 minutes. I felt awesome afterwards! My quads were really sore yesterday though.
