So they've changed Connect? And I had to login, fine. And they asked me to create a display name after I logged in? Uh...okay. Oh, you can't use that name, someone already has that name.
YEAH. I KNOW. I HAVE THAT NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Garmin is doing all it can to lose me as a customer, man. First my watch is shit with my browser, so I use a different browser all the time. Then that stopped working, so I get a new one. Then that one quits connecting with satellites, so I go back to my old one. Now I can't upload any of my data. Awesome, you guys. Totally fucking awesome.

I can't seem to push my calendar workouts onto my garmin anymore. Now I have to scroll thru the days on the garmin to find the right one since I moved my stuff out a week after being out sick for 2 weeks. I haven't had any of these other issues yet though.
All my old Garmin data is gone. I finally figured out (like you) that after getting a new screen name and reconnecting to the blue tooth that I could get my current run to upload. I'm really annoyed with this monkey business though.
I've been having a lot of trouble too. Half the time it will upload from my 210, other times it says it doesn't have the plugin so I have to do it manually, one activity at a time. I know it's not that I don't have the plugin, because it'll work, not work, then work again without me doing anything differently.
I am currently double-tracking in Garmin Connect and a free account at Training Peaks because I'm so freaking sick of how glitchy Connect is. But I do like the reporting features in Connect that I don't think you can get without upgrading to a paid account at Training Peaks.
I also don't want to abandon my Connect account because I like searching for runs or bike rides of certain distances, and I've accumulated quiet a library in my Connect account. It's a lot easier to get out the door for an X mile ride or run when I just look up a previous route that's exactly the right distance than if I have to plan one.
My distances and times are all off too when I upload--I realized that after al320 posted about it yesterday. And they better not lose all my old data or I will be very sad.
But what else is there to use besides Garmin, Nike plus?
I use a free account at Training Peaks, like I mentioned above. Still use a Garmin watch, but don't have to deal with the website.
Do you manually enter your data into Training Peaks?
You download an application (TP Device Agent) that you use to upload data from your Garmin to your TP account. Then when you go to TP in your browser your data's there and you can edit it or add details. E.g., if it was a bike workout that auto-uploaded as a run, you can change the workout type, and you can add extra data like "equipment used" which I use to track shoe mileage.
It took a little getting used to, and it has a lot of features that I haven't used yet, but the uploader and calendar are pretty easy once you get used to it.
I hate whatever they are doing to garmin right now. I'm going to assume that's why my 305 and 220 uploaded different data from the same run (one on each wrist; see my post about this in the garmin thread from the weekend). They need to fix whatever they're screwing up.
I use SportTracks in addition to Garmin Connect, so at least I won't be too sad if Garmin Connect loses all of my data.
