March is coming in HOT. I was hoping we'd get consistent cool fronts by now, but that's really because I hate hot weather and anything to get it colder sooner is all right with me. I talked to my mother and she's getting snow, and something termed "thunder sleet" outside of Little Rock. They are expecting at least an inch of snow on top of the sleet, so she said she's staying put until it melts. My brother is happily Mardi Gras-ing in New Orleans, getting stuck in traffic, watching parades, and trying not to overindulge, but he's hosting an friend from (as the friend says) "bumfuck Utah" so I think overindulging is definitely on the plan.
Today was a study in opposites -- hot here while talking to my Mom about the snow, and then I had to attend a funeral followed by a raucous tap class. I really love my tap classes! And it's nice to have not only an exercise I really enjoy, but an outlet for when things get a bit too much. The funeral was for my FIL's oldest, bestest friend (my DH called him Uncle) and the family has been understandably morose. It's been heavy round my house lately.

Oops, I forgot to do a QOTD!
March is starting out okay here. It's getting a little warmer (about 21 C) so winter is probably coming to an end soon. That is sad!
Today has been quite the adventure! We're switching email servers, and when went to switch mine, it wasn't working. So IT has been running around with my laptop all afternoon trying to resolve it. Turns out I have another (essential) program downloaded that was giving it issues. They were able to fix it :-) And luckily, I was in the first group to get switched, so going forward, they'll know what to look for!
Weekend was fun. We were super lazy! I made homemade pizza and we watched lots of tv and movies. I love weekends like that :-)

Hello! I am dealing with a sick LO again. My childfree days are looking so great right now. Hopefully, we can get out of the house tomorrow and she lets me sleep tonight.
The weather here is getting warmer. Still cloudy and depressing.
Hi everyone! The weekend was a bit weird. On our last day in Paris last week I got sick and so I was still recovering through the weekend. However, we did manage to go out to a 10 course tasting menu at a Michelin star restaurant with my parents on Saturday. DH got sick right after that meal too! We spent Sunday in bed watching silly TV shows. I am all better now but DH is still in bed. Working on a job application someone asked me to put in (not in academia so I am a bit torn about it). This week is busy and all over the place. Hope to make it through quickly because next weekend we're going to have dinner at friends and I love that.
Afternoon! Weather is picking up a little, though the nights are forecast to be icy... Today, we went for a walk to the shops, went to my Bootcamp class (yes, with both kids!) and then went back to one of the other mum's house for tea. Home now and dd2 is down for her nap and me and dd1 are chilling with our (late) lunch.
The weekend was crazy! Dd1 turned 3 on Saturday and we had a party at home. 12 kids, 4 babies, 14 adults... Luckily the rain held off so they could spend some time in the garden. From the time I got up to the kids being in bed the only time I sat down was to feed dd2. Even eating my lunch was standing as I made some cupcakes... Yesterday, grandparents and done aunts/uncles came over. I kept them seperate cos I knew FIL would not have been able to cope with the noise of Saturday!! We got her a balance bike and she lives it. Still getting used to it but doing well enough on it.
Good afternoon! Our weather is still confused, but it does seem pretty warm for the beginning of March. We had a lot of sun this past weekend! Today it is grey and rainy.

Hey all! Nothing too exciting here...just in the midst of week two of six sigma training at work (i.e. my version of hell). I'm skipping band practice tonight because I'm ridiculously behind on work, so I feel like an a-hole.
QOTD: Nothing too exciting over the past weekend, but I did get to stay in bed until noon on Sunday! It was blissful!
