Essbee, there are a few things to help ease your mind. #1, very few or none of the newly stocked items will be on sale, so if its a new couch, it won't be discounted. #2, if it IS discounted, I read someplace online that they would honor price adjustments, and anthro's CS is amazeballs, so you could see how far you could get with that.
Our couch from Anthro is getting delivered tomorrow. I am NOT going look and see how much more it's on for.
They have let me do price adjustments on the phone for online orders and in person for store transactions. I don't know about furniture, but it may be worth looking into, especially since the couch isn't being delivered until the day the sale starts. I think it is 14 days for adjustments.
BTW, I love Anthro couches and furniture. Which one is it? I'm banned from furniture and appliance purchases until DH's tuition reimbursement is up and we can move.
Thanks guys. It was already discounted $1000 when we bought it and it's still the same price today. But good to know on the price adjustments! Only problem now is that I want to buy a new bed to go with my new couch.
Oh, and it's the Thackery Chesterfield in the gray linen. We're so excited!
i'm so ashamed to ask... and I even love Anthro... but what does "tag sale" mean... just a fancy word for a sale? Will these items just show up on their "sale" tab?
A tag sale is really like a garage sale or an estate sale. I guess the name comes from putting price tags on all your stuff? Anthro's just does a big clearance sale twice a year and calls it their tag sale.
There's a banner at the top of the page, but if you go to the sale section it's all there.

Birk - So from what I understand, its a way to clear out their store rooms and stuff. So they bring out older items which are heavily discounted. Around xmas time, all the sale items were an additional 50% off. I'm not sure if they're going to do something like that this time too. Apparently it's called a tag sale because at some stores, the tags on the items were color coded for how much additional discount you would get per item. My stores here don't do that. So who knows? That's what they call it though.
Joanis - I just looked through their online stuff as well and wasn't super impressed. The inventory in stores is usually better though, so I'm planning to check one out tonight.

ahhhh... I see now. Thanks so much for the clarification! I like to be super informed before I tackle a sale :Y:
Yea, not particularly impressed with the online selection. I can't make it to a store, so looks like I'm skipping out on this sale. I'm ok with that haha.

Their tag sales always make me wish I had a store nearby. I hardly ever find anything online, but last tag sale I was visiting my ILS and got a pair of Citizens for $30 and a pair of AG's for $40! ...and a pair of leather flats for maybe $25.
Dangit. I did not need to know this. I'm supposed to go out for drinks tomorrow and there's an anthro store down the street. I think it's a sign for me to go shopping there tomorrow. :-)
