Chambersburg 1/2 this weekend! I plan to run very conservatively since it is very hilly and I'm training through it (60 miles last week, 50 this week). We'll see how it goes!
The weather is looking to be low to mid 30's at race time. Way better than what I'm used to these days.
Training in one word? Dreadmill (wilted)
Cross training wise, I always make time for strength training. I've been slacking on spin, but will pick it up again hopefully.
Hellooooo ladies and happy hump day! I'm so glad to be back from China and back in your time zone. Tell us...
1) Date and name of your half. 5/4 Pittsburgh Half Marathon
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? I've been involved in one way or another for the last 3 years. It was rainy/cool the first year, bananas hot the second year (people collapsing a the finish) and near perfect last year - 50s and sunny. So WHO KNOWS! <)
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. I was on vacation - (huh)
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? Strength Training and spin!
1) Date and name of your half. Indianapolis Women's Half on 6/7
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? It will probably be fairly warm and possibly muggy. Yay.
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. Back-on-track
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? Yes! Yoga on Mondays and Wednesdays; Spin class on Tuesdays and Thursdays; strength DVD 2-3 days. Sometimes I wonder if I cross-train too much, I'm trying really hard to lose 5-6 lbs though and running/straight cardio absolutely doesn't cut it for me.

1) Date and name of your half. 3/29 - Run the Bluegrass
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? I think avg daily highs are in the 50s-60s? At least that's what my brother tells me
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. :? skeered
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? Not as much as I should. This time around I've been swimming, but I'm not very good at it. I've also used the stationary bike when I have a chance. It's hard enough fitting running in, let alone cross-training. My idea for between the end of this half and my next one in October is to set up more of an all-around plan and stick to it.

Tell us...
1) Date and name of your half. DC Rock n Roll half, 3/15
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? Morning temps in the 30s or 40s is probably average, but yesterday it was 5 degrees, so I have no idea what to expect.
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. Spring?! (wilted) (3 word translation: Where is Spring?!)
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? I don't really cross-train for cardio. I do some core and strength workouts, and yoga.
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? Ummm, spring-ish?
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. Mediocre :^)
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? Not really. I've been trying to do Barre3 videos or something, but I'm feeling extra lazy this winter.

1) Date and name of your half. Christie Clinic University of Illinois Marathon/Half Marathon, Saturday April 26
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? The past 3 years we've ran it, it's perfect. About 40 starting, warms up to maybe 50.
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. Targets (high5)
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? I don't. I should. I totally should, but I feel successful just getting in 4 days of running with 2 young kids, full time job, and traveling husband.
1) Date and name of your half. Shamrock'n, March 16th
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? Low of 47, high of 67. We're finally getting some much-needed rain, but I'm going to be selfish and say I hope it stays clear that weekend, because I tend to melt.
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. Strong! :Y:
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? I suck and only started cross training in the last month, when the weather turned and I had to rejoin a gym to get runs in. I really like the Body Pump class, but decided to ease in by going just once a week until after my half, when I'd like to do 2x.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

1) Date and name of your half. B&A Trail Half 3/30
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? Typically the low-mid 50's during the day, but it's really unpredictable. I am just hoping for no rain.
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon Bundled? Lol. Actually, the weather is getting better so I am looking forward to less treadmill/more outdoor.
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? Ugh, this is my one downfall when it comes to this training. The running is going great- I'm having some strong long runs and speedwork, but other than picking up a few weights here and there, I am not doing what I need to do. My friend teaches pole and chair classes, so I am planning to try some of her classes out, but just haven't yet. I have committed to walking a lot, and make sure that I walk to and from the train station every day, which is about 2 1/2 miles.
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? No idea, but probably warmer than it has been lately.
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. Already?? (translation: where did the time go?)
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? Some spinning and lifting, occasional yoga. I love swimming, but still haven't committed to joining a gym with a pool here yet.

1) Date and name of your half. 5/4 - Frederick
2) What is the average weather like for your half date/location? May 4th in the DC area... probably warmer than comfortable! Shotgun is at 7am so hoping it will still be cool(ish) by the time I finish around 9:30.
3) Describe your training this week in one word and an emoticon. Smoggy! (pretend that is a Chinese man in a mask). I ran exclusively inside on the treadmill, but several of us in the group developed a cough over the two weeks. China has GOT to figure out their air pollution problem.
4) Do you cross-train? What's your x-training of choice? A usual week for me has included pilates on Tuesday and Thursday and swimming on Sunday.
