I'm so glad that someone asked this today. I've been thinking that my gym clothes are perpetually stinky lately. I'm going to try the baking soda and vinegar thing.
For really funky stuff, I make a paste of baking soda and full strength detergent and apply to the affected area for a day or so and then toss in the wash. I try to stay on top of sweat by washing as soon as I can, even if it means just rubbing a little soap into the affected areas before doing a proper wash.
I don't have a stank problem - do I need to workout harder?!? p.s. I only wear racerback tanks, so no actual armpits, maybe that helps?
LOL. I think this is a key part of it. I thought the same thing when we had the deodorant debate, but then I realized that it's rare for me to run in anything besides a tank.

I use vinegar in with the wash because frankly I don't care about laundry and am too lazy to do anything else. That being said, it does actually work and made my husband stop saying my workout clothes stink.
