Kid had two "seizure like episodes" yesterday. We stayed over night in the hospital for observation. He's getting an EEG done in a little bit to confirm if they were in seizures.
OMG partiallysunny that is so effing scary. I'm so sorry. All I can say is, I know quite a few people who have had this happen to their kids, for basically no reason. (Not no reason of course, but no long term or scary diagnosis) Sometimes it can just be a fever. My thoughts are with you and Bubby.

motzie that's what we're hoping. The first one, the ER sent us home. He's been sick, so that's what they attributed it to. But because he had two in 24 hours, they are a little more concerned.

cuddlyevil from the chat we had with the neurologists, it's probably hereditary (H had seizures as a child). Though being sick didn't help the situation.
They gave us information on how to handle them and an emergency medicine in case he has a seizure lasting more than 5 minutes. If he has them frequently/reoccurring they'd consider a daily medication.
The EEG just seems like an extra test to give them more information on the situation.
