I got up at 4:27am all excited (yea, excited at 4am!) for my first spin class in years....I drove the 51 minutes to the gym (near work, not where I'm staying) and anxiously waiting for the spin instructor to swing by the front desk to deal with me (bribed the front desk guy last night to let me pay this AM for a day pass).
5 minutes later there still was no spin instructor. Or people arriving for spin. Hm.
Checked the schedule.
Spin is MWF. Its Th.
Fudge. Double. Triple. Quadruple Fudge.
So instead of the spin class I was all excited for I ended up with 4 miles on the TM + 3 circuits of weights. The TM miles went something like this...
- 2 miles of "ah, run faster so its over sooner" while spamming the MPH button
- 1 mile of "if I go faster I'll fall off...guess I'll have to start going up hill" while stabbing the incline button
- 1 mile of "I give up, I hate myself, please let this be over" while trying not intentionally trip just to be done
Better luck next week?! (staying 2hrs away tmrw, no Friday spinning...not quite excited enough to get up at 3am. And yes, my life is that complicated right now re: living/driving!)
I've totally done that, minus the 4am and driving 50 minutes. Hmm, maybe it's not the same after all. Good job getting a good workout in none the less!
