Non clicky poll: How old were you when you had your first kid? Did you have any trouble getting pregnant?
I'm almost 27 and I'm not ready by any means for children, but my mother keeps getting on my case about being an "old mother". FWIW, I plan to start trying when I am 29, so not super old by any means!
ETA: I can't honestly say if I had trouble or not. DD was an oops. All we ever used for the 6+ years before she came along was pull n' pray. I have no idea if, when we do decide to try for another, we'll have trouble.
Pregnant at 30 and had him at 31. It was the perfect age for me.
eta: Sorry, didn't see the second part. We didn't chart (well, we charted for one month before I said "fuck this shit"). We tried for 7 months before we got pregnant. I tried for five months at 34/35 with no success with charting.

"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I turned 30 three weeks after she was born. Eta: it took almost two years including two rounds of clomid. But I had no issues conceiving the following kids, just the first.
I just turned 32. We were hoping to not take too long, maybe 3-5 months but we got pregnant right away. DH was both very happy and a little sad about that!

I got pregnant at almost 36. I did have trouble - we tried for over a year, and I ended up having some tube blockages. Once those were cleared out, I got pregnant almost immediately. I do not feel the pregnancy or delivery was any more challenging than if I had been younger.
