I'm so sorry I had strep last week. I went 3 days before getting a RX, but I was feeling way better within 24 hours of starting atbx. I would go back in if you're still hurting - it really is so miserable. And whine away, I TOTALLY get it.

See your doc. You may need a different antibiotic and they might want to run a mono test on you.

See your doc, and ditto the mono test. This is what happened to me in college, diagnosed with strep, but it didn't get better on antibiotics like it usually did. Ended up being diagnosed with mono and spent the next month dragging my ass to classes so I could graduate (this was senior year second semester of COURSE).

Agreed...put a call in to the doc. Strep usually clears up pretty fast once you're on meds, so if you're not feeling better there could definitely be something else going on.

It sounds like something else is going on entirely. Is your abdomen tender/swollen at all?
