I had the oral surgery this afternoon. Everything went well. The oral surgeon said that the tooth was really infected and the gum was inflamed. He's glad that I didn't wait any longer to get it taken out. He was able to save more bone than he thought, but I still got the bone graft. I've been asleep on the couch since I got home a few hours ago.
The novicaine has almost worn off. Needless to say my mouth is really, really sore and swollen. I just took a pain pill, which should kick in. They also gave me an ice wrap for my face that keeps the ice in place over your cheek. I was able to eat 2 eggs and some ice cream. (I don't care what I eat when I don't feel well as long as my stomach tolerates it.)
I wouls say yay for Ice Cream but my jaw surgery kind of ruined me on ever really liking ice cream again. I can't look at a milk shake with out feeling nauseous because that's basically all I could eat/drink for 2 months.
I'm feeling pretty icky in general today, but that is expected. I plan to take a very long nap and rest this afternoon. My mouth is sore, and it's hard to talk. Thanks for the good wishes!
