I was hoping to participate in a 5K this weekend, but it's an evening race and my H will be out of town at a concert. I am really trying to eat healthy for myself and L and it would directly interfere with dinner, so I will probably forgo this weekend's race and gear up for a 5K next weekend! I am ready to start racing again!
How did it go runaways? Did you do the BCC? I did it last year. I love that race.

It went well enough- I ran a 48:42 for a 7:50/mile pace, and I'm satisfied with that. It was kind of a rough race though. I grabbed my Garmin on the way out the door only to find that it was dead when I got downtown and turned it on. Did a mile easy warm up. Had a couple sips of water. Realized I had to pee as I was standing in the corral with a minute to go to the start and decided to just suck it up and run anyway. I also hadn't actually looked at the course map until last night and didn't realize so much of it was on the same road as that last half I did, with all the baby hills from going under the overpasses. I hate those damn things. I just never felt like I quite keyed in like I normally do, but I can't really complain about my time.
