Bathing and Showering with Baby/kids?

I never knew that it was a common thing for parents to bring their babies or kids in the bath or shower with them. I keep reading about lots of moms who bathe along with their babies. Did you do that? Did your parents do that with you? I remember my parents helped me bathe until I was kind of old IMO, like 9. They didn't trust me to wash my own hair correctly or maybe I didn't think I could do it. But they never bathed WITH me, my parents are way too reserved for that. They would not have let me see them naked.
At any rate, just was curious about this!! I am wondering if moms and kids bathing together is way more common than I think!

Ps I hope I don't sound judgemental, I just know it's something my own parents wouldn't have ever done because they're like overly, overly reserved about a lot of things

Oh goodness. We bathe with the kids all the time. I've been doing bath time recently, just because I end up showering earlier in the day or I want to shower alone later. Sometimes Luis takes one and I take the other. Sometimes, I take both. Sometimes, he takes both. We didn't start tub bathing though until the girls were like 9 months, though. We are also nekkid about 78% of the time in our house. We are also really clean versions of hippies. So take that into consideration. I don't think you are judgmental. We are all raised one way and then we ask questions about what we were raised doing and then we decide if we want to keep doing it that way or if we want to change it up.

My parents never bathed with us, although I do remember seeing my mom change (thus, naked) pretty regularly when I was younger.

We have bathed with Ellie on rare occasions (usually after the beach when we all need to rinse off, or when she was too little for the big tub but we were traveling and didn't have another option), but usually we just give her baths on her own. She does see us change frequently, though. Maybe TMI, but the other day she even counted my boobs: "two milks." LOL. Great.

Yeah it's always cool to hear how other people do stuff! MH just told me that he showered with his dad when he was little.

I think I bathed with my mom? I've gotten in the tub with Amelia maybe 5 or 6 times. She always thinks it's pretty fun. H would never but obviously he doesn't care if I do.

I remember bathing with my mom or sister when I was younger. I showered with Quinn up until about a year or so ago. He will still sometimes take a shower with Ross. I took Hudson in the shower with me once at my mom's house, but I don't like doing that cause he was so slippery. I'm sure we will shower with Hudson once he's big enough.

I do not get in the tub with Alex. Babies pee in the tub. Yuck.

Eventually I'm sure we will bring into the shower with us if we are in a rush, but a quick bath is only a few minutes so it's not a big deal.

I don't remember ever bathing with my parents. When L was tiny, I did take a bath with her a couple of times. It was so relaxing for both of us.

I showered with my mom on occasion up until I was 7 or do. I shower with Macy from time to time when needed. Macy sees me naked ALL THE TIME and it's no big deal. Obviously she's never seen Jason naked but nakedness isn't a huge deal in our house. It will be interesting to see how things will change as Brit gets older. I suppose I will need to start covering up more.

I've thought about that too. How different is it with a boy? Do I have to lock him out of the room to quickly change? Hmm.

My mom and I would shower together on occasion as a kid, after the beach, etc.

We take M in the shower w/us all the time. I have never taken a bath w/her. H did once when we were trying to get her to like the big tub. I'm not sure how long we will let M shower w/H.

Quinn still sees me naked at times. Especially with a boob obsessed baby, it was kind of inevitable. I don't make a big deal about it, so neither does he. I have started being a little more observant of it and not letting it happen as much now.

I shower with the boys once in a blue moon- they are too slippery for comfort. Now we do walk around in underwear often at our house or the boys are in diapers only.

I bath with Lila occasionally because it's so easy. However, I do enjoy the small amount of time I get when it's just me. It almost feels like a vacation. Lol.

Justin has never bathed with Lila and hadn't ever undressed in front of her (even when she was an infant) until she walked in on him the other day while he was dressing. She asked what was stuck on his butt. Lmao. I bet he won't let that happen again.

Macy has never seen Jason naked but she had to have an anatomy lesson when Brit came along. Ha. She asked me why he has gum and a stick thing in his diaper. I wasn't real sure how to respond. And BFing was baffling to her at first too.

Hahaha ... there is so much peeing in our tub ... usually multiple times during each bath.  Shane always looks surprised when he starts peeing and then he starts laughing.  Last night he was, as my nephews call it, "making bubbles in the tub"  I'm not going to lie, I was afraid to pick him up.  Luckily it was just gas.

I have gotten in the tub with each kid just because it's easier, but Khan generally handles bath time, so it's not been frequent. I still shower with Lily, but sometimes she showers on her own. Really the only reason I shower with her at this point is because of her dam hair. She doesn't do a great job of rinsing out the shampoo and conditioner.
