I needed to buy something from Fabric.com, but was short a bit for free shipping so I started poking around the jersey fabrics. I stumbled across some bold and summery stripe knit that I loved, especially for $6/yd. And then I read that they are calling this collection the "Spendid" collection. Which, frankly, looks a hell of a lot like "SpLendid" to me. They have a history of selling a special designer fabric collections, but naming it something slightly off, when it's obvious who the designer is attached to it. (e.g. They called Vera Wang fabric the "Vera" collection).
Anyways, I wanted to post it here in case anyone is interested. I bought 2 yds of two different prints. I haven't received it yet, so I can't speak to the quality, but I'm hopeful it's awesome. Just wanted to share here in case anyone else wants to take a chance on it.
Thanks. I've had good experiences ordering from Fabric.com.
Same here. They are one of my go-to online fabric resources.
I've had such bad luck with them the last year or two since they switched warehouses. They were never able to complete an order or they sent the wrong item. Right after the switch it took 3 tries to get a correct item and while they let me keep the wrong items I missed out on finishing something for Christmas. I tried one more time last month and they again cancelled due to an inventory error. They used to be my favorite site.
- Splendid is a clothing company that is known for their stripes, but they are $$$. I have a few tops from the outlets and a couple of rompers that I used with J and I just love their stuff. The fabric is soft, the patterns are cool and the designs are simple, but nice. www.splendid.com
The prints I ordered are these two (and I'm toying with ordering more):
