DD is a few months away from solids, but I wanted to get some feedback regarding high chairs.
We live in a small apartment in HK, so space is at a premium.
I'm trying to decide between a Phil & Ted's model that clips onto the table. It'c called the Lobster. Another option is the Nano Urban Highchair by Bloom. It folds up very thin and could be tucked in a corner.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these?
Our dining room table is from Ikea, so I'm not that concerned about wear and tear from a clip-on model.
We registered for a space saver convertible like lThis.
i have used clip ons for work. I like the clip ons for older babies. I feel a convertible might work better because you can recline it for bottle feeding as well. And it has different attachments for different stages.
We also had the space saver and liked it. My friend had one that clipped onto her table and could swivel around from there (this may be the one you linked to, I didn't click) and she loved it.
I think I'm just going to get the cheap ikea antelop one, but I think the lobster would be good for restaurants too since they don't seem to have high chairs many places here. I think ikea also makes a slightly more expensive model that folds for storage (like $40us, so still cheap).
We have 2 of these, so company can bring their kids. They are awesome, cheap, and super portable. I was worried that the clip on ones would ruin the table and wouldn't grow with them. This one becomes a 3 stage booster seat when you don't need the tray anymore.

Are you there?? How is it going?
Erin, we also have the FP space saver booster. Not the reclining space saver w/ the cushion, just he plastic booster. It has worked out great.
Yes! We got here Friday. We got phones yesterday (the two days between canceling my service in the US and getting a phone in HK were the worst ever) and found an apartment today. I start my job tomorrow!
Also, can you tell me the best place to buy diapers and formula?
Diapers.com is great if you want them shipped directly. Costco and SAMs club are probably the best for B&M stores, depending on what brand you use.
Sorry, I meant to direct this specifically to ErinExpat. I just moved to where she lives and don't know where to get anything. No more target or costco unfortunately

You can find diapers and formula at any Mannings, Wellcome, or Watson's. Any grocery store will also stock them.
Any brand in particular?
I have recently discovered that my local dispensary/Chinese herb place sells my brand of formula for less than the other places. Any local pharmacy is worth a look if you pass by one. Their inventory can be less consistent, though.

Thanks, I've only looked at one grocery store so far and got confused because it looked like maybe it was a drink for pregnant women instead of babies No brand preferences yet. I used target diapers in the states and haven't used formula yet but I'm not sure how much I'll me able to pump at work. I just want something NOT manufactured in China if possible.

I use Similac and it's manufactured in the UK. As a rule, there is no need to worry about that, but check the label to be sure. Mainlanders come to HK to buy their formula, so there are a number of good options.
There are also a lot of powdered milks geared towards pregnant women and adults in general. Usually there are two separate sections. Similac and Pediasure are two brands that I see consistently.
Also, depending on the store and it's location, they may have the formula in a keyed area where you have to ask for it at the register. Once you find one you like, take a photo of the container so you can have it for reference.
The stores I mentioned have it on the shelf, with the exception of some Watson's Pharmacies. There may be an empty can on the shelf that you bring to the register.
Does your table have a skirt underneath? If yes the phil & ted might not attach properly.
I have two friends who it worked beautifully for. They would recommend it for sure. We planned on buying the antilop from Ikea, but got an Avalon as a shower gift. It's bigger than I would have picked for myself, but has some nice convenience features and well, I'm not really limited by space right now.
