Am I bad mom/GF?

I feel like i need to use my recently accrued vacation time to go somewhere. ALONE.

Is it terrible that I just cannot stand another living human being right now? Even my family?

Do you ever get time alone? Like really alone without even your babies? It is imperative to me that I do. At least a couple times a week A goes in her crib for a good long nap and I can do a yoga DVD or take a long bubble bath. If I didn't have that I'd lose my mind.
Absolutely not! Go! Spend a little money too! You work. You deserve it. Get a nice room somewhere for a night and relax in quiet and do whatever your heart desires.

I agree with Sara. Plus-- you have twins!!! I can't even imagine. If you can go an a little get-away by yourself, I would do it.

Now, how do I handle Luis. He's going to get all butthurt if I go away for a night without him. He already think sI am going to leave him because "I left (him) once before."


Although, he'll be in ORL next week, and the kids will be with his mom. It's might be my opportunity.

I don't see anything wrong with it. If you can get away, go for it! I have definitely wanted to take a me trip. I am never without a child, (which I'm complaining about, but can be taxing at times), and then H gets to go to places like Vegas and get paid to golf. I know it is "work," but I could use a fun little trip of my own. I really want to go visit my best friend in San Francisco, which my H has encouraged, but in order for me to do so, he'd have to take vacation time to stay home with the kids. I'd feel guilty not using his vacation time for the entire family to do something together, so I haven't done it yet.

Tell Dear Dad to suck it. You made 2 people. You get a vacation. It might be the only way you don't leave him again so he should be saying "thank you for not killing me for all the stupid stuff I've done". I'm thinking specifically of the car right now.

Have you looked on Living Social? Or you could try Priceline. If you are flying solo you can be flexible and they have great deals.

I was thinking on of the beaches on this side. Not a long drive, and I can still relax. But since it's summer, I might not get a good deal.

I think summer is actually the best time to get deals. Especially now with hurricane season starting. I stayed at the Post Card Inn last fall for my BFF's wedding and it is adorable.

Ok, now a work question: My boss told me that he is going to INdian Rocks beach for his vacation next week. They aren't close to each other are they? How awkward would that be!?

The Post Card is on St. Pete Beach, which according to Google Maps, is about 15 miles south of Indian Rocks Beach is you go straight up Gulf Blvd. I think you'll be ok!
