I think I remember reading that people will put butter (ghee?) in their coffee because it is Whole30 approved. I'm not a coffee drinker though, so have no idea if this is as bad as it sounds.

That is disgusting.
@astrid try to get the best quality coffee you can. I think the subtle difference between mediocre coffee beans and good ones is most apparent when its black.

That's what I assumed. Sorry astrid! Good for you for trying it and hopefully you can stick with it. I'm still working on convincing myself to commit to the 30 days.

Also, try a coffee that is a lighter roast. They are usually less bitter.
How are you brewing the coffee? It makes a difference in type of coffee you use and method. Like an Aero Press or pour over makes the best black coffee. Pot or Keurig not so much.

I made my own cashew milk...it's easier and better tasting than almond milk. Just almonds, water & some vanilla extract - blend until done. You can strain it if you have a normal blender, or just use as is if you have something like a Vitamix.
Attachment DeletedThis is milk is really good and it doesn't have any sugar in it. My girls love drinking it. We use it in our smoothies too and it's very tasty.
So talk to me more about this. I can't do coffee yet, but when I do, I have some ghee in my pantry.
You just melt some clarified butter or ghee and blend it either in a blender or with a handlheld thingy (what are those called? lol). If you don't blend it, the butter will just sit on top and that's gross. It's similar, IMO, to using heavy cream.

hmmm...I'm intrigued enough to try it eventually. GAWD I MISS COFFEE

I'm doing it as an elimination thing to see if I can kick my cystic acne, but it is tough stuff.
If this doesn't work try Paula's Choice skincare.
I started using the acne kit and after about a month the cystic acne is gone. I also had my IUD removed and maybe that eventually helped as well. Silly hormones
