Posting complaints on the FB page of the travel company we booked through.
It's been more than 2 months and they still haven't issues our refund. We're still contesting the charge with our credit card company, but they're having difficulty contacting them as well.
Maybe this will be the reason I join twitter. Lol.
My guess is it's taking longer because they need to get money back from the airline (car rental company/hotel/whomever) which could take a long time. If it's an international carrier, it could take a really, really long time.
The airline refunded them- I was able to check that since they actually answer the phone.
