Now that I am getting more exercise, I have developed the chub rub. It isn't from skin to skin contact (or I would use body glide or something similar), it's from clothing.
It is so painful (and red) by the end of a day when I have been walking or riding the bike a lot that it is hard to fall asleep. It feels like my inner thighs are on fire.
I am getting in the groove with this whole exercise thing and this is a set back. And given how much weight I have to lose, I am thinking this is going to be a problem for quite a while so I don't think I can just tough it out.
How do I stop it? Do I have to wear something under the pants? Like compression shorts or something similar? I usually wear yoga pants (which aren't loose) when riding the bike/walking on the treadmill or jeans (when walking the dogs) and they fit pretty tight to the body.

Stop wearing jeans and put some compression shorts under everything. I used to get this so bad but I just resigned myself to wearing running capris while working out. I've used body glide with clothes, too.

Ditto putting BodyGlide on the inner side of your pants - it really does help. Do the pants that you wear while working out have seams along the inner-thigh? If so, ditch those fuckers and find ones that have no inner seams - I've had good luck with the Champion stuff at Target.

Some do and some don't.
I will have to see if any of the Champion stuff will fit me. Last time I checked, it was a no go but maybe now that I am a bit lighter/smaller...
