I got H Dragon Ball Z Season 1 for his birthday last week. He was a huge DBZ nerd in college but I have never seen it. Anyways, I picked it up on Amazon for cheap and I thought he'd get a kick out of it.
The problem is, we sat down to watch it Saturday night and went straight through the first disk without stopping and, well, I kinda loved it. And now I want to see ALL OF IT which is a problem because that is 290 episodes, lol. H is surprised and highly amused. Anyone else ever watched any DBZ?
I ordered seasons 2 and 3 tonight H went through his old CDs and DVDs and found some old old illegally downloaded episodes and a bunch of bad fan art, lol.
We've also been watching TeamFourStar's DBZ Abridged along with it. H found it a while ago and it was funny then but it's even better now that I've watched the real thing too. If you haven't watched it you definitely need to
So I was an after school care teacher for about 4 years back in 2001-2004. Dragon Ball Z was on everyday and I sat on the couch and watched it with all the little kids and LOVED IT. This is not a problem.
I remember thinking "This cartoon is actually telling a story! OMG!" lol
Yeah! I'm totally a sucker for cute little Gohan. Awww wook at him kick the top off a mountain! HE'S SO LITTLE! Of course, I also exclaimed over how small Vegeta is, but he seems to be suffering from a severe case of Little Man Syndrome
H is getting quickly sucked (back) in as well! We finished Season 1 last night and spent most of lunch discussing theories on what dragon balls can/can't do, although it was mostly H asking me questions about what I thought since he already knows everything.
I also told some of my facebook friends and they are total enablers as well! Apparently after this I "need" to watch Dragon Ball, Full Metal Alchemist and Attack on Titan. But one of them has all of DBZ and Dragon Ball to lend us so at least we won't go broke buying them all! It's just going to be extra-hard to peel myself off the couch and away from the TV for a while, I guess
