"I was so happy I was able to help you with loaning you the money for your situation, and I hate to have to bring it up but we have some expenses coming up in the near future and we would be so appreciative if we could be repaid by the end of the month. I know this was already a top priority for you but I just wanted to clarify when we can be on the lookout for it!"
If she can't get it back by the end of the month, push and set up a payment plan.
How long has it been and how much is not a lot of money?
A month and fifty bucks. I'm not concerned, but I don't want it to go too long, you know?
Ok, I'm betting this person is assuming you forgot about it, lol. I'd do what the person above me said - things have come up, I need the money, can you have it to me by X date?
apalettepassion.wordpress.com/ WHO IS BONQUIQUI!?!?!?!??!
"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
Was it a loan because they didn't have their wallet on them or because they really needed $50? I would offer an installment plan because if they had to borrow $50 are they going to be able to pay it back all at once?
So you could bring it up that way-I know you may not be able to get me that $50 all at once. Does $25 now and $25 on x date work?
Ughh i need to ask DH about this b/c we loaned his niece $500 and she paid back about $100 for car repairs. I know she said that she will give more this summer when she is not in college/college athletics and is actually working but she agreed to send a little every month and we didn't get anything in Feb.
I would just say "Hey, ___, are you back on your feet now? Will you be able to start making payments on the loan this month?" No BS about needing the money, they'll know it's only $50, so I would just be direct.
