AW: SXSW Interactive (PIPs)

DH's best friend works for SXSW and DH is on one of the review committees for panelists. For his volunteering, he gets a gold badge (entrance into Interactive and Film portions of the conference.) This year, his BFF was able to get me a badge to go with him (eek!)

I have never been to SXSW even though I've lived in Austin my whole life. I don't really like the crowds from the music scene and badge costs are really high. But the Interactive part was so fun! 

The first thing that was just really cool was I got to see Neil deGrasse Tyson speak on Saturday (from 5th row center):

Then today we had a chance to sit in on Adam Savages keynote:


And because I'm a huge space nerd and a former member of the Young Astronauts Club (grades 3 and 4), I had to get my picture taken in the space suit.

My friend lives in Austin and is going to the film festival, he's been posting some fun updates on FB.
