I turned in my midterm exam on Sunday so all I have to do this week is read a play and watch the DVD of the play and write a few paragraphs. So I need to get started on my secondary applications. I've been offered (so far) 11 secondaries. So I need to get 33 essays in order for those applications. I'm on the verge of a panic attack over here because I don't even know where to begin. I have another 5 page paper due next week, plus I'm having that injection done on the 19th. Then another five page paper the week after that and then the week after THAT is my final.

you win!
my suggestion (that works best for me) is to make a list of every single thing you need to do. then knock it out one at a time and mark it off the list.
and i had no idea med school apps were so detailed. damn. also, you should apply to the school near where i live. its a good school. just throwing that out there =)
I don't know about you, but I feel better and work more efficiently with a schedule written out. Like take the number of essays, divide by how many days you have left and schedule that many essays per day. It makes it more manageable in my head when I do stuff like that.
I like this. Also, what are your deadlines for your secondaries? I like to organize by due date and schedule a certain amount of work each day. Makes it so much less stressful when you can take it one day at a time. You can do it! Also, getting that many secondary applications is a great sign, right?
The first play is The Glass Menagerie. Next week's play is Rabbit Hole. I can reuse themes in my essays. The issue is that each school has different requirements for the essays. So if two schools want to know what kind of kitchen appliance I am, one school has a 500 word limit, and the other has a 1000 word limit, so the essay has to be reworked anyway.
And I am making lists.....I just can't seem to make any headway on anything, and the applications are coming in faster than I can get to them and stacking up on me. I am legitimately afraid of my email at this point, because I love seeing that I've been offered the secondary, but there's no light at the end of this tunnel yet. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I still haven't heard back from 50% of the schools I applied to.

Good luck!
I agree with lists, and then try to cross-match any essays that might be overlapped for theme or content. At first glance it might appear that they are all unique requirements but I bet you can find some shortcuts/commonalities.
