These are safe to use, right? Any recommendations or preferences between the suction, cling, and roller shade options? These Britax ones seems to get decent reviews.
That's basically what we have, but the Brica ones. Same thing. They work very well. They're safe because they're totally soft/lightweight. I wouldn't be comfortable using the old-school roll-up kind.

I have the same ones (although I haven't gotten around to installing them). The car seat tech at the hospital told us that the clings like those are perfectly fine, but don't use the roller kind. If they were to pop off the window, the roller ones would cause more harm to the baby than the clings would.
I have the Britax ones and we've been using them for over a year with no issues (except for the one time I forgot they were on there and rolled down the window...).
We've had one that attaches to the window with suction cups. The damn thing never stays on. I've figured out a way to rig up a blanket and make a sort of tent that protects her from the sun.
I have the Brica stretch ones too. There were great until DS1 learned he could pull on them and then ripped the suction off the shade. But I ended up buying the same shade to replace it.
