Not that what I have now could really be considered a bump (I'm 16 weeks), but normal for it to be really lopsided? I notice it especially in the morning that the baby is totally on my right side, always the right side. FI jokes its cause it wants to be close to its father As it gets bigger, its going to even out, right?
It's not uncommon for the bump to be lopsided. Sometimes baby will hang out in one position for a while, and it's not always in the middle :-) At 16 weeks, there is TONS of room to move around in there, so you might find that the baby goes from one side to the other during the day, or depending on what side you sleep on, etc. As they start to "move into position" it's common to have harder lumps where the butt and head are, and softer/squishier areas where the feet or hands are.
I asked my doctor about this since my bump also leans to the right. I thought it was the baby hanging out over there, but my doctor said that the uterus itself often leans that direction as it expands and grows. So it might be the baby, or it might just be your expanding uterus. Weird, right?
