Personally, I would put him in a nice pair of black slacks, a dress shirt to match the colors (maybe the same color shirts as the groomsmen) and a cute bow-tie!
Ah-ha! DH's bff just got married and bff's nephew is almost two and was dressed in a super adorable outfit- black pants, a black vest.. I just messaged her to see where she found it! I'll just kind of copy it, only with a different shirt and tie.
Awesome. Maybe she'll lend it to me (we can hope, right?)

We got my nephew a cute little kids tuxedo on amazon for $30 when he was my ring bearer (he was a year and a half and in maybe a 2T). We looked into a lot of options and it was the cheapest because it came with the pants, jacket, shirt, vest, and tie for $30.
And IDK how close you are to a Hobby Lobby or JoAnne's - so if you get me pictures of the bridesmaids dresses or something, I can run and get the fabric here since we've got both (as well as Hancock) in our city.
Okay, just heard back. GM are in teal (lagoon) vests and yellow ties. Groom is in ivory (which she said was an option). Is it going to be easier to find a teal shirt and do a yellow tie, or vice versa?
My nephew was all excited when he was three to be the ring bearer in a wedding; couldn't wait, did the rehearsal just great. Then the day of the wedding, he pitched a complete screaming, kicking, wailing fit because they tried to put him in a little tux and he wanted to know where his bear outfit was. Because he was the ring bear.
He threw the pillow down the aisle. It was hysterical.
He doesn't even know. I just found out on Sunday that he was for real going to be in it.
He did not want to "practice" and then was excited too afterwards. They are expecting him to walk down with a one-year-old girl, in front of a bunch of people he doesn't know. I hope that it works out.
I'm not saying anything though, I won't be there for the fall out, so whatever.
Hoobs, bribe the shit out of him. That's what we did with Will a couple weeks ago. We talked up a REALLY BIG SURPRISE that he would get, but *only* if he did his special job. Worked like a charm!
Also, I guess look to see what kind of shirt you can find, then get the opposite color of fabric for a tie.
I used a calico for Will's tie - it's a pretty sturdy cotton. Granted, their wedding was pretty casual.
I like yellow shirt/teal tie but if they're going to be in teal vests/yellow ties he should maybe opt into that combo. Or if you're going to have the tie made how about a pattern with both colors in it?
