It makes me so angry when everyone here makes fun of SAPR down days andsuch, but I'm beginning to get that it's hard to take it seriously when the, people who create the content are perpetrators themselves.
Seriously, it does. Committing sexual assault at a sexual assault legal conference? Sexual assault responders committing sexual assault? It's no wonder that SA has gone largely unreported when these people are responders and prosecutors. This is so disgusting and disheartening. WTF.
This reads like it should be on the Onion, or Duffelblog...
I'm a spouse, so I don't really know how this can best be handled. Surely something is screwed up, though, and it just feels like so much of the attention paid to SA check the box, ignore the details, type of attention... There are things in the military that I just can't comprehend with my private sector employment background.
I wish I could show you guys how not seriously people here take SHARP training. It's heartbreaking. We have these interactive videos where you make choices as a leader and people were basically trying to get the character raped.
I was disgusted.
That's horrible. What did your leadership/teacher do?
My H has been an assistant SARC and VA. We both feel strongly about that position. It horrifies me to think that some people view it as a pass to harass. And what if they thought my H did it for that reason?!
