1. Which race, what day, and how many runners total are racing it? Run for the Lakes, April 26, not sure how many runners...not too big of a race though
2. Best moment of training this week? Worst moment? Best and worst: Completing 10 miles...on the treadmill

4. Who do you run with? Partner, friend, group, dog, tunes, or the voices in your head? I usually run by myself

1. Which race, what day, and how many runners total are racing it? Run the Bluegrass 3/29 - it's capped at 5000, but don't think it's sold out.
2. Best moment of training this week? Worst moment? Best - Running outside and going farther than I planned, but still felt good. And, the hills I had towards the end weren't bad. Worst - because I went farther, it got dark before I finished, and got cold fast. I was numb and stiff by the time I finally walked through the door.
3. Do you have any other races planned during your training? I have a 4 mi on Saturday. Then 2 more weeks until race day
4. Who do you run with? Partner, friend, group, dog, tunes, or the voices in your head? Tunes and the voices in my head when I'm outside, Olivia Pope when I'm on the treadmill.
5. Is it snowing again? Really? I think it's finally snowing here. We've gone from rain to freezing rain to sleet and snow. Yay.
6. One item you hope you don't forget on race day? My phone. Since I'll be in KY and DH will be home in NY, I'll be sending him a Glympse so he can keep track of me. It will make me feel a little better knowing he's "there" with me.

1. Which race, what day, and how many runners total are racing it? B&A Half on 3/30. The race is at capacity, so I am not sure, but I think its maybe 400 for the half and 200 for the full?
2. Best moment of training this week? Worst moment? My comeback, lol! I was at Urgent Care for a sinus/ear infection on Saturday so I missed my long run and was beyond miserable, thinking I wouldn't be able to run for a while. But thanks to some antibiotics (which I haven't taken in 20+ years), I am feeling better than I have in months. I had a surprisingly easy 7 miler on Wednesday, which was the boost that I needed.
3. Do you have any other races planned during your training? I did a 5k at the beginning of Feb., but nothing else.
4. Who do you run with? Partner, friend, group, dog, tunes, or the voices in your head? I have never, ever run with another person. I was supposed to run with my neighbor over the weekend, but...see above.
5. Is it snowing again? Really? We were close to 70 yesterday and it was 22 this morning. W.T.F.??
6. One item you hope you don't forget on race day? My husband. I'm such a running hermit that I'm not used to running in the presence of anyone.

It is ridiculous. Today of all days the bus didn't come. After 15 minutes my 5 year old threw up his hands and stormed home, lol. He got in trouble for not listening, but I understand where he was coming from!

5. Is it snowing again? Really? It snowed here yesterday, but only a dusting which is far better than the 3 inches that the meteorologists were predicting. And tomorrow it's supposed to be 60 degrees. F'ing Ohio, man.
6. One item you hope you don't forget on race day? My phone-as a pacer I'm supposed to have it on me in case of an emergency. Or in case I keel over d/t lack of training.

1. Which race, what day, and how many runners total are racing it? Pittsburgh Half, 05/04. I've learned in this thread that there were 30,000 racers last year!
2. Best moment of training this week? Worst moment? Best was just getting the miles in and feeling good. Worst was the other day when I underfueled and thought I may die from exhaustion.
3. Do you have any other races planned during your training? Oh, no. lol. This is the first race I've ever done. So we're just going to focus on one thing at a time over here.
4. Who do you run with? Partner, friend, group, dog, tunes, or the voices in your head? Just me and my tunes. And my headlamp!
5. Is it snowing again? Really? Not here! Come train in NC, where it's not snowy (today).
6. One item you hope you don't forget on race day? Umm ... Sunglasses. I don't usually run when it's light out, so I'm apt to forget them.

2. Best moment of training this week? Worst moment? Best was running the 4.5 on Monday as easily as I was able to. I was getting nervous since I just did a rest week after the marathon, preceded by a week of being sick, preceded by a week of vacation!
3. Do you have any other races planned during your training? No ma'am. I don't have anything planned after the race either until the Army Ten Miler (if I can get in). I'm going crazy!

Thank you! I am excited. This was a short training season made challenging by weather, sickness, perverts in cars, and of course the first big race I've trained for since having a child and all of the constraint on free time that involves. I am just excited to be out there, to finish, to see my friends and family cheering me on. I can't wait!

You know the worst part about today though? I stopped counting the number of times I have heard "This crazy up and down weather is why everyone keeps coming down with colds."
