Tonight some people were re-doing this workout. Not on-the-border-between-going-to-regionals-or-not but just regular people who wanted a better score.
OMG, this is the worst possible workout to redo ever.
Haha, this is me. I didn't think it was that bad, honestly. It started to hurt sooner the second time around, sure, but I was right that by switching up my strategy I could do better, and I wouldn't have been content not trying. I'm sure there's something that you love (or at least don't hate) that I'd never in a million years want to do twice though
I stepped up the whole time. The amount of time I may have shaved off by jumping seemed like it would have easily been offset by the extra strain on my legs.
Our box does Murph every St. Patricks day and Memorial Day. I am still hurting from over doing it this weekend, so I won't say I was not a little crazy.
I started with box jumps and did step ups the second and third round
Me too. The first time I did it I stuck with box jumps for the first half of my second round, but the second time I was pushing faster on the deadlifts and just didn't feel like I had the legs for jumping. My "strategy" as far as jumps vs. steps was just to do whatever I felt like in the moment and keep going without resting or hitting my shins.
