OMG, I am going to hear "exfoliate" every time the Daleks are on now.
Random Doctor Who comment: we just finished watching all of the David Tennant ones and I'm suffering from withdrawal. Matt Smith is fine, but DT was spectacular.

Yup. Matt was my least favorite. He was fine, but just lacked the passion that Tennant had. But then again, I think Tennant lacked the passion Eccleston had, so, yeah. I cannot wait for Capaldi to take over. He's supposed to be very dark and manipulative, so I'm interested to see how The Good Doctor goes from such a happy-go-lucky guy (Smith) to a rather mean guy.
Matt Smith really had only one note, Tennant was good--far superior if you put him next to Matt Smith. But Eccleston was the best out of those three. None of them will ever replace Tom Baker for me though.
I reeeally want Capaldi's Doctor to be darker and intense. There needs to be the whimsy too but that darkness needs to be lurking below the surface. I think that was what was so great about Eccelston, even when he was happy/goofy you knew it was a rare thing. This will upset my coworker who is terrified Capaldi will be "too angry".
And OMG, I just realized that I am now going to be able to watch the new episodes as they air! YAY!!!!!!!!

YES, this exactly! I loved when he would say something perfectly blunt and to the point, then smile that goofy smile and switch gears right back to being a loveable guy.

I agree with all of this, even though David is my favorite. I so wish we'd have gotten at least another season out of Eccelston.
