So I have had this stabbing pain right above and behind my belly button off and on for the past few weeks. It is also pretty tender to the touch, last night it was really bad and I couldn't find even a comfortable way to sit, lay, or stand. Today it doesn't hurt at all, even if I press on the area it just feels uncomfortable but not painful. The only thing I have read is that when your belly button pops out that skin can be tender but I have had an outie all my life so that's not it, and it is behind my belly button. Anyone else have this issue? I don't want to find out I have cancer/aids/Ebola from Dr. Google and since it goes away I feel silly calling my doctor about it.
I can't remember. I vaguely remember my belly button being sore, but I'm not sure. But, definitely not like you describe. Could baby just have been poking you and then moved?
Could have been. It felt like someone had stabbed a knife through my stomach.

Oh noes! Your baby has been watching too much Family Guy!
I had it! It came and went, but I never called the doc about it, I assumed it was normal. If you call and find out it's not normal, please let me know if I have cancer, thx.
Provided I don't die of the black death/ the baby doesn't burst through my stomach all here's Johnny style in the next week I'll bring it up at my next appointment. Then I will let you know what level of hysteria you should be at jennlin
